Remarks
NIT Rourkela has nice research environment and many professsor are collaborating with some foreign unoversity professsor. The infrastructure and campus are the main attraction to many students and PhD scholars. NIT Rourkela has also actively working placement Cell. 3 students got 45 lakh package and 9 students got 43 lakh package during this pandemic year. The statistic for placement shows that its placement percentage is going to increase in upcoming days.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have joined in this course because I want to do research in Optimization.Faculties are highly motivated towards research. Most of the Faculties have done their PhD in Top IITs and Teaching standard is upto the mark. There are two term. One is mid semi and another is End term. We have to solve the assignment regularly to perform well in the exam and exam paper are mostly moderate to difficult level.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of NIT Rourkela is very awesome. Some departments like CSE , Electronics and many more offers highest package among most of the institutions in the NIRF ranking. Many company from IT sectors , Finance sector and manufacturing comes to the campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
1st Sem- 560002nd Sem-45000 and 45000 for rest Semester for P.HD program. Students have rewarded fellowship of 31000 who are qualified GATE/CSIRNET/INSPIRE etc for 2 year and 35000 for next 3 year.
Campus Life
Life at NIT Rourkela is amazing. we can have lots of exposure to sports, placement and many more. The placement cell offers Bachelors as well as Masters level students with beautiful packages. The environment is very peaceful and pollution free.

First of all , We have to qualify any of the test like GATE/CSIR NET/INSPIRE. Based on academic percentage, they selected some students. Then they conducted interview.after performing well, they select few students for admission
