Remarks
In that time after completing +2 exams, I came across few colleges among them, KIIT provides pretty good placements and has a decent fees structure. Besides, I chatted with a few of the alumni of KIIT, they informed me that professors over there are friendly and have a flexible curriculum. On another side, KIIT provides quite decent International Opportunities with good scope of extracurricular works. And it's near my home town, so keeping all those points in mind I chose KIIT.Admission process : As admission criteria of B.Tech, they asked for a Minimum of 60% Marks on the 10th and 12th. And need to appear for the KIITEE exam, which is Free of cost. Based on the score of that various brunches are provided. Back in 2017, the KIITE exam was scheduled around mid April and the results published around the end of April, then all the candidates were asked to appear through the counseling process of KIIT which was scheduled on the 10th-13th of May. Based on that I got that respective branch.Blogs/Websites:KIIT Official Website, Career 360, Collegedunia
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm motivated to learn about computers and software development. That's why I chose that course. Besides B.Tech in CSE, at that time I learned that KIIT provides two more courses on CSCE(Computer Science & Communication Engineering) and CSSE(Computer Science & System Engineering). I choose CSCE because at that time I want to explore Networking and Communication side along with Software Development. But I must recommend that although they created the extra two Communication and System Engineering focused brunch, those are haven't any different from CSE. Actually, they provide the electives which mix of CS & this focused area related courses. And in CSE they provide electives only focused on CS, So that one can get more detailed courses on CS Eg. AI, Fuzzy Network, etc.Statistics Of faculties :KIIT has a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1, a lot of them from top reputed institutes of India as well a International Institutes like IITs, IIMs, XLRIs, NITs, JNU etc. A lot of them are in Research and a few of them also have collaboration with foreign institutes. As per my knowledge, a few of my friends end up with Research Internships at Harvard Kennedy School, UK and Taiwan(But not many such professors available One can build up a healthy network to approach them). An overall good amount of research opportunities available here but those are not open you need to approach in the proper way. Coming to their teaching style, most of them are friendly and approachable in both language English & Hindi. Most of them teach in a very easy way and if someone interested in specific subject classes are enough to score good marks. (Though experienced and research-oriented professors are assigned based on the sections and sections are as per admission process ie. on KIITEE ranks)All about Exams:Exams in KIIT are a little easy to moderate level. A serious class lesson with revision is enough to score good marks. And the scoring system not much hard. But one thing I must say you need to go through a lot of Assignments and that must 75% attendance.
Internships Opportunities
I opted for an internship in Novartis in Data Engineering Role. As as a part of Intern I help the DE team to develop different data layers maintain and develop ETL pipelines. For the Confidentiality I can't revel my stipend, though it around 20k - 40k range based on different profiles.
