Remarks

So sometimes there are last minute mails about change in schedule of lectures or practical which makes it annoying knowing you have already made your plan. Also the college timings seems a bit more

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE i secured 78 bitsat i got 180 mh-cet and i got 145 in that. I could have got admission in many colleges with the same score but i wanted to do computer engineering cause it was something i was interested in and which was good and about the college, it has a good campus, good placements and so i chose this over others.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

So i did not find the course too research oriented because its basically the same stuff over the years, even now we use turbo c which is out dated. The structure is'nt too different from years ago.

Internships Opportunities

So i never had a personal experience of the internship professionally but there are many companies which take students as interns over the year and usually for 3rd year students its not paid as it gives you a lot of job exposure for 4th year students its good offers with companies like morgan stanley, tcs and many more coming with internships opportunity as well

Placement Experience

3.5

So the placement stats are uploaded on the official website every year . Computers and mechanical department do very good placement with about 80 people getting placed every year with companies like airtel., L&T , tcs , morgan stanley , godrej and many more coming for placements which starts from 4 lac per year and goes upto rs 20-25 lac per year

College Events

4

So there is abhiyantriki the tech fest which is one of the best events of the college and students from many colleges come to visit it , the cultural event is Symphony where we have band performances , coke studio nights even the actors come to visit it and several dignitaries also come to grace the event. Some small events like Tatva etc are also held by depatments like csi etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The hostel is pretty cheap and a good facility for out station students . I dont know the exact cost but the rooms are decent and the mess food is also very good . About the pgs you will get a lot of them in around rs 8000 rent monthly(deposit is extra)

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are many i know of few like Ratan tata scholarship which waves fees of all the department toppers. There are certain scholarships for minorities through which you can waive certain amount of your fee.

Campus Life

4.5

So the campus is amazing with a big athletic ground , volleyball court , badminton court , table tennis room and many more facilities. The gender ratio is pretty decent with 40 % - 60 % girls being in minority. These are many extra curricular activities in the college like bloom box , entrepreneurship cell , book club and many more . Also periodic worsk shops are held on various exiting topics and lectures and seminars are also held . Councils like ieee hold robotics work shop , csi some computer related stuff and much more Most of the students in the college are gujaratis and from middle class , most of them coming from central region or Thane.

Alumni/Alumna

So there is an Alumni cell in the college which hold periodic lectures in the campus which makes the connect between the alumni and the students good and stronger. Any student thus can have a good talk with them if thy are confused about anything.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty on the other hand is quite good many of them having a good knowledge of the subject and really wanting to help students

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
