Remarks

I applied for iem, St Thomas, Xavier's, Heritage, Meghnad Saha, and many more, but their cutoff was high and also I didn't wait for the second round. So I would suggest you wait for a better college. I took admission in general quota by wbjee's counseling, my rank was 13000 in the year 2016 and my score was 40 and nowadays their cut-off is decreasing so if your rank is between 10000 to 30000 you can expect cse branch. The counseling is done completely online you need to add collages in choice felling very carefully as the seat is allotted number-wise.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose CSE because I was fond of coding from my school days. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:25 in my department and every teacher here is well qualified and has a quiet teaching experience. Exams are taken as per MAKAUT routine and exams are not too easy to pass, you need to have basic knowledge of the subject.

In our college from 6th semister campus, placements start. companies like TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, etc visit us to give placement. The highest package is around 9 lacs and the average lies between 2.5 to 3.5 lacs. Around 80% of students get on-campus placement. I am thinking to give GATE and do my MTECH at a well-known college.

Fees and Financial Aid

They don't increase fees very often,semister fees vary from 40000 to 45000. I applied for some scholarships like post-matric, swami Vivekanand, merit cum but I didn't have any one of these. I got a fee concession from my own college which waived 25% of my college fees. I got a job in TCS in the final year of my degree with an annual package of 2.64 lacs.

Campus Life

In our college annual fest and tech fest are organized in the month of July, our annual fest name is Pheonix. Pheonix is the best fest of our college it includes all technical and non-technical events and is held in the month of July with great joy and love. We have a huge library, almost every book we need is available here. Xplorica is the most famous club in our college it hosts all kinds of technical events like Wordoid, Panabee, Namemesh, etc.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.
