Remarks
For my masters, I only applied to IGNOU, because I didn't score a lot in my graduation so I did not have a lot of options for my PG. As a result, I chose IGNOU. I did not avail in any kind of quota. I enrolled in M.A. in ENGLISH, the minimum percentage I needed for the admission was 40-45% (as far as I remember). The admission process was not at all difficult or complicated. You just need to fill in your details and put your documents in the form. There wasn't any counseling day for us.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since I did my graduation in eng Hons, I chose a Master's in English cz I wanted to learn more about literature and everything. As I live in North Delhi, I was provided with my study center nearby. IGNOU was kind enough to arrange classes for us. Although I didn't attend a lot of classes, I can tell, that our teacher was very much qualified and she taught us well. The classes used to happen only on Sundays. Coming to the exams, they happened annually, I.e., once in a year. In Ignou, we're also given assignments that are to be done and submitted few months before the exams begin.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of the course was around Rs.6000. They do not help with any placements issues. I feel the fees is quite nominal for te course you do. I did not get any sort of scholarship, financial assistance or any sort of job on campus.
Campus Life
Since IGNOU is an open University, there aren't any fests conducted here. In my duration, of course, I did not feel the need to go to the library to borrow any book, they also provide you with their own study material which is more than enough if you want to score well. Since our study center was for just females, some women in our class started a WhatsApp group for all the students who could not attend the class and also to share any important notes or announcements. This group really was a lifesaver for many of us.
