Mithilesh Bhagat's Review On Global Academy Of Technology - [GAT], Bangalore

Global academy of technology (GAT) is 20 years old college, located in proper bangalore city, affilated to NAAC "A" grade also to NBS. and the placement is decent for CS, ISE and EC branch, almost all student get placed who are eligible(more then 6 cgpa and no active backlog) bad part about this college is for north indian student because majurity of students are localite and speak kannada, also the hostel food is not that good enough, but the hostel facility is first class.over all college is good but fee were little high for our 2016 batch, now tuition fee is around 1.7 lac per year for comedk.

infrastructure is just amazing, enough numbers of labs, academic is good, teachers are also good but numbers of PHd holder teacher are less, over all in course and curriculum is good but can be better, like canteen should be improve, cafe facility can be also improve.

Yes GAT offered internship program for both summer and Winter, also linked with IIT kanpur, so selected student can do a internship from IIT kanpur and also from IIIT bangalore. I did my internship from IIIT Bangalore.

placement is good enough for CS, ISE, ECE student, for mechanical, electrical and civil is worst, almost every student get placed from CS, ISE, ECE branch who are eligible( no active backlogs and 6 cgpa+) many companies do visit I can say only Infosys, NTT Data and Tech Mahindra take around 300+ students, rest students gets placed in companies like SAP Labs, BOSCH, Mindtree, LTI, IBM . Placements starts from 7th semester, I got placed in Infosys, also selected for Internship in Mysore.

Fee structure is different for everyone. for comedk now its around 1.7 lac per year and for our batch (2016) it was 2 lac per year, for KCET students the fee is very less, it is around 60k per year also the whole fee get refunded for them by karnataka government, for management its completely depend on the principal and the branch like for CS the management fee is high its around 3.5 lac per year. Local kannadiga are getting scholarship, for outside student its very difficult, from college end no any financial assistance is given, but student can submit their fee in 2 slot eg, half fee in odd semester and remaining fee in even semester. honestely telling mass recutives companis do come to my college every year, companies like Infosys, Mindtree, Tech Mahindre, NTT Data, LTI, SAP LAbs, JUSPAy, and average package is 3.5 lac not more then that, also sales companies are coming so for those student who are having backlogs can get placed there this is because GAT placement is same for MBA and engineering students. I can say placement is overall good.

life style at campus is average, even college fest are not that good enough as compared to the other nearer college, but we can enjoy the social life outside as the college is located in city, so within 10 km we can go place like MG Road, kormangala, Indiranager, About the college Infrastructure, it is good, campus is spread in 12 Acar, full for greeneny, classes are good enough, being a hostel student I can say hostel facility were first class, except food, food were average.

for 3 sharing charge is 90k per year, for 4 sharing it is 80k, including food, we cant choose only rented accommodation, we have to take both. hostel building and facility is great. food is good for south indian student for north people have to adjust abit.

No I havent face any group discussion interview but for non karnatka students have to write COMEDK exam, now from JEE mains also we can apply, and admission procedure is very simple we need to do a councelling before getting into admission.
