I gave AIEEE and scored 30,000 rank. It is the best college available at this rank which is around 250 kms from my hometown. The past placement figures were very good which motivated me to opt for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum were very extensive and appropriate as per the branch. It is at pat or ever better with any other college in India like IITs or NITs. The curriculum was very well defined. We had 8 semesters and each semester has 6-9 subjects.
Internships Opportunities
College provides us the links and references for internship. We have to find the internship for 2 months on our own. I had no stipend and experience was very conductive for learning.
Placement Experience
Over the years, the department has maintained symbiotic, vibrant and purposeful relationship with Industries across the country and as a result, has built up an impressive placement record both in terms of percentage of registered students placed, as well as the number of companies visiting the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
I do not remember any good scholarship offered by your college that you know of or availed. Only good scholarship that is available is to good AIEEE rank holders i.e. less than 5000.
Alumni/Alumna
An alumni association is an association of graduates or, more broadly, of former students. We had alumni meets as well (I have not attended any) Yes, there is a connect of students through Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter.
Exam Structure
There were 2 exams per semester. One is called mid term (t1) and the other if called end term (t2). Apart from this, we have quizzes, assignments and presentations. The exam were concept based and less theory is asked to check students on concepts. Numerical and short based answers, We have internal assessments of 20 marks as well.
Admission
I was called for counselling. On the day of counselling, as per your rank you were called and whatever branch and stream is available at your rank, you were given that. I was given ECE. If the branch was not available then you are put on waiting list.
Faculty
The faculty is very well qualified. Jaypee university of Information technology, Solan strength is its competent and well qualified faculty. Faculty in the College are well regarded for teaching and research. They are called upon to be part of Academic Councils, Seminars and Teaching programs.
