Remarks

I passed my B. Tech computer science engineering in 2018. then I applied for CAT. my percentile was 89 percentile. so I reviewed every college that was out there and like 89 was too low for up top premier college. so I could only jot down only 3-4 colleges that are reflected well for me. so in that, there were ISM, IIMS and 2-3 other private colleges like IIFT, and 3 of the other college were there. so I only applied for ISM because I had applied only one form that is ISM that was because 89 are some of the government colleges and I knew it if I had a degree from reputed institutions that is 100 years old so, I'll get a job. my target was to get a degree from a college that is reputed when I passed out and go into the market. so I applied only for ISM and then the interview started. the forms were out from January to February and then the round started in April. the first round was I guess GD and PI. so GD and PI took in April. so there were two lists of students like there are 1800 students applied and there were two batches one was called on one day and some called on the second day. from that bunch of people, they started to talk GD and PI. GD and PI were taken for every person and then what they did was, they had this formula we used to convert that GD and score and emasculating ability and everything and then rounded off they made a list and then the results were out. I was the 1st person on a waiting list that I did not get, I was not able to join any college directly so there was just a waiting list for the candidates. thank god someone rolled back and I was able to join the college. so, in June we called for the other processes like other waiting list candidates was also called and the process conducted in a day and you had to pay the 1st fee on the same day and everything was communicated along back with the mails and it was one day process and everything was very fine along with the documents and everything and you will be involved in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

So the course is defined by AIMA all India management association defined that course and the same course is valid in every IIT or IIM no matters where you go, the course is the same and The fee course structure is the same. So the basic difference is council like some faculties are stuck to the books and some are diverse and use diversified methods, they use presentations, they use case studies we have that portal in our library one of the biggest library. We have that so you can every paper in it you can see it whether we face or it from and how, where it is from and any better college that case studies are always discussed in our class, there will be presentations, they will be mock interviews, random question answering, quizzes, so the course structure is same, the way they teach every student that is how it is different in every institution. The course structure you go for ism or IIM or IIT, the course structure is the same, the way of teaching is different. If I talk about my class so we have one surprise test, one lesson in a semester. In our college and IITs have a guideline that every faculty needs to a PhD from a premier college and should have at least 2-3 tables that have published in a foreign university and has experience of a foreign university and he has some papers published already so without that you can't be a faculty at in top IIt no matter from which you go on. So the thing is all the faculty have experience of 14-15 years. Some new faculties have passed from IIM like I remember 7 or 8 new faculties joined in 2019 and they all are from IIMs. Someone is from operations, someone is from marketing or something else. most of them are IITMs who done their MBA from IIm or a foreign country. So the faculties are very learned and very good. So if you talk about diversity so they all very diverse.Just look it into faculty ratio I would say 1:4 because I have a batch of 16 for a course like an MBA you have 16, MBA in data analytics you have 20. The total number of students that are getting involved in a batch is like 90-120. The number of faculty is around 16 to 20. So you can relate that that ratio of student to faculty is very less. The course structure you go for ism or IIM or IIT, the course structure is the same, the way of teaching is different. If I talk about my class so we have one surprise test, one lesson in a semester.

Internships Opportunities

5

In starting, I'm talking about 2014-15 when gradually started to happen the placement scenario became good and better and better by every batch. So I was the first guy who got PPO from my batch. It was a federal bank that gave me a PPO and the preference was good. And I got an internship opportunity with a federal bank also.

Placement Experience

5

The department of management at studies has both and have an MBA and Mtech also. So companies come for technical profiles you are allowed to sit for those profiles also. If a company comes and you want to sit for it then you are allowed to go and pick for it. If you are from a technical background and you have done an MBA and you can go to these types of companies. If I stat with the placement drive in my session when I was in march when corona happened and the average placement was INR around 8 or 9per annum and every college has to mention their average placement in INR website there is a pdf you can download and get detailed information. The lowest is around 7 and the highest is around 12.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is an NCM scholarship but I only remember one NCM scholarship. It is given to every student whose father or family income is less than 4 lakhs or 5 lakhs rupees and in that total fee is exempt and the total fee is paid by the government of Jharkhand. That is one scholarship. The fee structure is very minimum costing 15,000 rupees. 15 thousand rupees for a semester. The fee structure is like 98,000 is the fees and 15,000 is the hostel. It cost 1 lakh 13 thousand per semester. Approx. 4 lakhs for general candidate. If you are an SC St candidate or reserved category candidate fee will be 20,000 per semester around so the total fees will be 1 lakh rupees for the course of MBA. Some companies came in summer internship from banking, marketing, insurance, airtel, coca-cola, every company you had there in an internship. And federal bank used to come regularly and it has a pretty good package and we gave preference to the federal bank, then coca-cola and companies like that.

Campus Life

5

So on campus like IIT are 400 acres of the campus was there. There were mini-festivals, cultural festivals, so this is where ISM has different from other colleges. ISM conduct zero hours, other placement rides and other things that will help you too to enhance the skills during the placement. There will be a particular zero hour session throughout the week and you will be asked to have the debate, quiz competition, something that will be conducted every day. And you have to sit there and participate there something. Apart from this, there will be a guest lecturer, faculties, MDs, CEOs of various companies because Dhanbad is a reason for production. So various people will visit from, manufacturing, other PSUs, ONCS or something like that. Because all of them are alumni of IIMs. They come there and there will organize some festival, seminar organized every day. There will be something organized doing. Campus life is good and you have your student activity centre like every other IIT that is called facts that you have every immunity that what want to do gaming, swimming or everything you wanna do. They have all facilities whether indoor games or outdoor playing games. You have it in culture or you have it in postmasters

Hostel Facilities

5

So as I told you it has the cheapest cost that you can imagine 15000 rupees and when you lodging and when semester-end you get a refund of 3 to 4 thousand maximum 6,000 that happens every semester you get 3,000 rupees refund as in IIT you have your student union and student union decided that every day 100 rupees diet has to be given to the students so what happens to suppose the fee is collected for a whole semester and there are holidays so the amount of that holidays are given back to you. The food is very great like for a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian you have all the varieties. You can take supplements like every IIT suppose you want something extra you will have to pay for it and you can get it. It is not like other colleges like you can get an amount of food it's not like that. You can eat everything you want and if you want some extra you have to pay for it. Apart from the things on the menu. So if we talk about hostels, there are two kinds of hostels basically some are new ones and some are old ones. Old ones are built 40 or 50 years back, they are 15 feet above. Pretty good hostels but when you go there, there will be a thing you are asking for the older hostels because older hostels are bigger ones and they have the ego of living in heritage hostel and every senior wants their dream hostel life that I want to be in heritage hostel. So everything will be provided you have washing machines or everything you want.

Admission

I was like long back in that college, now they have to change the interview process they conduct written ability test but when I was enrolled they had this GD and PI in which we have a round table discussion there were three faculties seating in that panel and they were allowed everyone to talk and it was a normal regular GD and if you are, you are out. So the basic of GD is you are querying you are out. You have to put your points and they ask everyone to conclude and both of those will conclude and will be considered for your GD and then there was a PI round. For PI there were four faculties. One from finance, HR, operations and marketing. So all the four faculty from the top institutions in the PI round. They will ask you little tough questions. They will be asked you tricky questions like why do you want to join IIT and IIM in Dhanda, why MBA, why MBA after a technical background, they ask you questions and if you answer the question then they will give you another question to contradict your answer. If you trying to answer the tricky question then the next question will be based on your answer. All you have to do is being patient and focused during the PI round because they will be asking you question and they will make you feel like that you are doing a mistake in joining Ism Dhanda. Basically, why you are joining there are different institutions and you can use your percentile why you come for us and there are some questions like that and there are few mistakes that people generally do in interviews and ROI a very quite term used as if your college is ROI, then they will ask you to evaluate ROI and what are the factors you considered, they ask everything. If you say a word in the interview, they are being very conscious as they are very learnt.

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.
