Mercy college is an highly reputed college in calicut university, Kerala. College has an amazing atmosphere, a sight of greenery can be seen there. College is filled with fresh air. Anyone who enter the campus can refresh their mind.The admission process is quite simple with each step along with the prospectus provided on the college website. The admission is on the basis of merit list after which shortlisted candidates are called for the admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was a well structured and researched course curriculum divided in 6 semesters within three years. We were taught both practically and theoretically in the subjects of BCA, Each semester have practical section.
Placement Experience
Placements opportunities in my college was good. Various good companies visited during my years of graduation in this college. In my last year companies such as wipro, TCS made a visit to recruit us however I further chose to persue my post graduation after completion.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure of my course is structured semester wise we have to pay in every semester in 3 years (6 semesters).Our course BCA is aided course so the fee is affordable The total fees of three years of BCA is Rs. 32475
Campus Life
In my college for extracurricular various competitions or events are conducted every year with great enthusiasm and participation of students such as Cultural Fest Sports days A zone competitions Inter-zone competitions. And there's no discrimination among the students. All are provided with equal opportunities.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel provides great facilities even food or accommodation. I like mercy college hostel it's give more opportunities to improve your different abilities like dance, song. Hostel day is great fest. Hostels are about sharing facilities, which includes living and sleeping accommodation, they are generally sociable places where you get chatting to people. Hostels are the perfect place for exchanging information, advice, and ideas on where you?Ûªre going or where you?Ûªve been.
Admission
The minimum score required for the above tests for calling for Group Discussion and Personal Interview is: 15% for general candidates, 10% for OBC & SEBC and ; 7.5% for SC/ST candidates ; Most of the institutes use Group Discussions as the next step in the selection process after written examination. Thus, Group Discussion is an important criterion for selection and rejection of candidates. It is used during admissions and campus placements. GD is a great tool to gauge communication abilities of students via group activity.
