IIM Ahmedabad Review

The course curriculum is the same for both PGP and PGP FABM in IIM A. There are 6 terms and every term consists of 2 slots where slot 1 is pre-midterm and slot 2 is post-midterm. There are two examinations as mid-term and end-term. And also, there are surprise quizzes that are the unique elements of IIM A. As It is IIM A, so obviously faculties are highly talented, qualified, and experienced abroad like Germany, USA.

I can't tell about the placement records as I am not the right person but IIM A does officially roll out the IPRS report on its website where everything is mentioned. And the Place Com is totally run by students, also elected and nominated by students. And it is improving through the years in terms of placement, packages, etc.

The fee structure get changes every year but in my case, it was INR 24 lakhs including both academic and hostel fees. There are several scholarships from corporates like IDFC first bank scholarship and HEOL scholarship ranging from INR 2 to 5 lakhs. Also, IIM A offers scholarships to students who are financially poor and to reserved category students from the Govt.

Everything is very nice here in the Hostel. There is a lot of variety in the food facility and everything here is student-driven in the mess committee. So, all are good in terms of food quality and hygiene. And it is kind of an open society, so if any problem arises then there will be many hands to help you out.

There is a VAT test (written ability test) instead of GD where they will give a topic to write in 15 to 20 minutes. They give generic topics in VAT, whatever currently happening and that totally depends on which field you are choosing to study. In VAT, they don?Ûªt check your knowledge instead they check your thought process because they want to examine your point of view. In the interview, there were two professors from IIM A itself where they asked me a bit about my field that is Agro, my academic & personal background. What I have learned from this process is It?Ûªs all about your communication skills that how you are interacting at that particular time. So, don?Ûªt get stress just be composed while the process.
