Remarks
Very first thing that I choose IIT is because I am a Science student. And being a Science students, I had a dream of pursuing courses from IIT. Second reason I choose IIT ISM Dhanbad is because its fees. Fees are comfortable compare to other private colleges. Its around 4 lakhs. And the third reason of choosing this college is because it is near to my hometown. As I am from Jamshedpur.
Course Curriculum Overview
We had total four semesters in two years. In one year, we had two semesters. In the first year, we had all together 9 subjects and these subjects are common subjects. But in the second year, 7 are compulsory papers and 2 are elective or optional papers. Optional papers are major papers, not minor papers.
Placement Experience
As our college is new after becoming an IIT, job opportunities are exploring. Very few IIT gives the opportunity to the MBA graduates. Now it is in developing phase and after 5 years it will be toughest to get placements in IIT ISM Dhanbad.
Campus Life
Campus life in IIT ISM is really very good. Its campus is really beautiful. Four festivals are organized such as Concetto, Basant, Parakram and Srijan. In Srijan, programs like video games, Dj night happens. In Concetto coding, video games and robotics like programs are organiszed.Basant happens in february and in Valentines day, where every girl gets roses from the boys.Parakram is like sports related activities and competitions.
Admission
In my GD process, there were around 10 people. My topic was should we invest on Railway station Infrastructure or Research and Development. The topic was good for me as I did good preparation. There was the panel of 5 professors from different subjects like Economics, Finance, Marketing and Management. I would say this is the hardest interview I have ever faced. I got most of the questions from Commerce, like from Finance and Accounting topics.
