The journey of my MBA

IIT, Dhanbad has been ranked among the top management institutes by leading rating agencies like NIRF, Business India etc. My relatives introduced me to this institute which made me curious about joining this college. The admissions for the college are held by online mode only. I went to the official website filled my form paid the application fee (Rs 1,600). Providing my CAT scores was also mandatory. After this I had my interview and WAT test. Registration for the course generally starts from January.

Course curriculum is very well and carries each and every detail that widens our horizon. Faculty of this college is highly qualified and almost all of the teachers are PhD holders. The facilities try their best to make everything clear to the students. Our exams are held every semester and are easy to pass.

I did an internship as an HR for two months in the firm My Coders. My role was to hire new candidates, prepare salary structure and manage the employees. With this internship i learned a lot new things. I earned a stripper of Rs 2,000 per month.

Students after their third semester are eligible for campus placement. Tata Steel, CIL, IBM, IDBI Bank etc are some of the renowned companies taht come for the campus placement offering roles of HR, Finance, Management etc to the students. Rs6,00,000 LPA is the average salary provided to the students, on the other hand the heighest is Rs9,00,000 LPA. About 90% of the students get placement. I also want to get a job through campus placement.

The fee for the course is fine and not very high. We are provided with scholarship and award facilities. If in case the family income of a student is less than Rs 4,50,000 LPA, then the student is eligible for MCM scholarship with an off of about 8% from the semester fee.

Campus Life is excellent. They are currently adding food courts and parks as well. Library of campus is the best it is very large and filled with many books and journals. Srijan is the annual cultural festival of our college that is conducted in March every year. Several clubs like music club, photography club, fine arts club, literary club - hindi are organized and run by the students. Extracurricular activities also hold an importance.

As my relatives live near the college so I preffered living at their house then the college. But i came to know from one of my hostel friends that the hostel facilities are very good. They have well furnished room and one room is shared by two people. Mess of the hostel is also clean and hyginic.

I had to undergo WAT and PI. THE PI was held online and I was asked to introduce my self, I was asked many questions along with the reason why I wanted to do this course and why did I choose this college. For th PI round I took some training from coaching centres. WAT exam is taken to test the writings skills of the candidates. For this I used to do constant practice of writing on different business topics.
