Average Interns

So the admission is done according to the performance in the GLAET exam conducted by GLA. If you scored well in that test then you are most likely to be selected for admission. I also applied for LPU but didn't opt for it because it was quite far from my hometown also GLA is quite well known for its placements in UP. To take admission in BCA Course you just need to have 12th passed with any known board with the minimum aggregate of 60% and minimum age of 17+. I also got selected by the same admission criteria. I gave the GLAET test and passed it so got selected for admission and completed the process of fee submission.

I chose BCA because I was quite interested in Computer related stuff and didn't really want to pursue engineering. GLA offers good ratio of Faculty: students ratio so there's no shortage of faculty here. All the faculties are well qualified and have their own techniques of teaching and keep the classes interactive. Also, the Exam pattern is quite structured here in GLA for BCA they take 2 exams per semester which mean for the whole BCA course they take 12 exams which are moderate in difficulty level if you prepared well for them.

So many companies offer internships for the student in their second years like Byjus, Safeducate and many more for the role of assistant of a software engineer. For the projects, we have 2 projects one in Minor project and other one is Major project both the project's details can be embedded in the CV just to have a good impression on the HR of different companies.

Students can appear in the process of placement from the 5th semester. Companies like Capgemini, TCS, Wipro and Sap labs come to the campus for the placement of students and offers a decent amount of money according to the skillset and job profile. Like TCS offers 2 packages one is for normal recruitment in which they offer around 2-4 lacs and the other one for the cybersecurity in which they offer around 7-8 lacs. As for the highest, the offered package is 30 lacs by Amazon for the post of a software engineer and the average package is around 5-6 lacs according to the job profile. For the percentage of students who got placed, all you need is above 7.5 CPI to be eligible to sit in all the interviews. I've 2 plans in my mind one is that if I got offered decent pay by a well known MNC then I might take it or I'll pursue my MCA from a government college and then take placement.

Though the fee hike seems to be problematic for students belonging to the middle class they offer scholarships for students belonging to the middle class. Also, there's a trend for hiking prices of course that affects students who are tight on their budgets. Even though my university is not affordable for all the classes but still affordable for middle class families, though the hostel prices are a bit higher according to the facilities given by them. Also, my college offers the UP scholarship which gives some relief to middle & lower middle class families by reducing some amount of money from the fees.

There are so many fests conducted by our college like BLF and also so many speakers are brought up to give us seminars on Tech and different topics. Mostly BLF is conducted after Holi. For the availability of books & journals in the library I would say the library in GLA is awesome, it has a lot of books in it, and for the amenities, they offer AC classrooms with projector and big and non suffocating classes. Social clubs like Natraj, Ninad, Drishti and Chess Club are run by Presidents and senior students.

For the rooms, we are provided with a fan, a LAN wire, a LED bulb, a Chair, and a table. The meal quality of messes are quite good and the menu is full of a healthy diet for a student also we are offered with a sweet on Sunday. For the registration of the hostel, we have to go to the portal of our college and we can book it from there. Though the hostel rooms are not affordable for all. And if you are interested in a rented room you can also go for it because there are so many rooms and PG's are available in the locality.
