Remarks

The admission process was very good. When I went to the college for admission there was a hall where we have to sit and we gave all the information about how to pay fees, how to fill admission form etc. The whole admission process took 2 hrs. After completing admission I got my college I card.

Course Curriculum Overview

I took this IT course because the placements opportunities are high. The faculty of my course is very good. They all have good qualifications and the teaching style is best. About faculty student ratio, for one subject there is a minimum of 4 faculty available. We also have lab classes. Finally, about term exams, the exams are easy when you study well. So due to this all faculty we had an ample amount of practice and hence exam are not so hard.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities in our college are also good. Our college comes under an AICTE affiliate hence, many students get internships. In the first year, we also have a subject called project based learning. In this, we have to make a project which can help anyone.

Placement Experience

The placement of PICT is very good. Our college is known for mainly its placements only. In my IT branch this year out of 200 students 190 students got placed in different companies with the highest package of 38lacs per anum. Each year placements of our college increase. This year placements percentage is about 95%. Top companies which come include phonepe, Deutsche bank etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Comparing to different IIT'S and NIT'S, the fees are low. Fees are around 1 lakhs per year for the open category. There are different types of scholarships but not for open category students. Except for open category students, all other students get scholarships as per their category.

Campus Life

There are many clubs in the college example IEEE, ACM, EDC, CSI etc. These all are the technical and worldwide clubs hence, they organize many techfest. Many other completion like hackathons were conducted by the college every month. We also have a subject called physical education, where there are many sports to play. Our college has a cricket team, badminton team, football team.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

Placement Experience:

We have a great Training and placement cell , they first help for inturnship in 3rd and 4th year and also invites top componies for placements in our collage. 6th or 7th sem students are eligible for placements. 80% studnets among the eligible get placed. I will try to get a dencnt job too.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
