Entrance Preview

To get into Manipal Institute of Technology you have to crack an exam which is conducted by the college itself. The name of the examination is MU-OET, which stands for Manipal University-Online Entrance Test.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In first year, everything is common for all the branches so a student knows a little basic about almost every department of engineering. From second year onward you will be learning everything according to what the name of your department suggest.

Internships Opportunities

Not the college in particular but there are a few clubs who help in providing internships. The stipend depends on the skill and from person to person. I have known a senior who has done internship in motorola with a stipend of 25 thousand rupees in his fourth semester end break.

Placement Experience

4

The placement and job opportunities when it comes to my college is way more than any other local private engineering college, Manipal Institute of Technology is not a small name, not a very big one too. The average placements vary from 4.5-5.5 or so, there are a lot of MNCs which turn up with a lot of well known companies which offer highly lucrative packages.

College Events

5

There are two fests which happen in the college. TechTatva(Technical fest)- Innovation and ideas all over the campus, events like Robowars and fuel RC are always a hit. A lot of engineering related games making learning so much more fun than you could ever imagine it to be. Takes place every odd semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure I could say is neither expensive nor feasible. It is feasible because a lot of people studying in my college do not have to worry even a little about the fees but it might not be the same for everybody. The fee for the entire four year program is close to 12 Lakh rupees for all the four years, which excludes the hostel and the mess facility.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is offered to bright students and also to students who are in need of it. There is a different scholarship exam which all the needy students give separately and receive a scholarship according to it. Loan facility is provided by SBI which is in good terms with our college because we use SBI combo cards as our id cards in college for literally everything.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is amazing. Manipal as a town is a lovely place and it does not get boring at all living here. The campus is neat and well organised. Even after being in an engineering college I did not ever have to worry about pretty girls not being around. Not the exact gender ratio but I could say there are enough girls in our campus. A lot of people from so many different places in India.

Hostel Facilities

4

MIT hostels as I would like to keep it short, are literally one of the finest hostel rooms I've ever seen. So much better than so many hostels of other well known colleges. Offer Regular cleaning, RO drinking water and also warm water available in the shower 24/7. The mess food is edible if not more, offers variety. Nothing exciting about it except the fact that it serves you non veg on every alternate days.

Exam Structure

50% marks are in internal- Assignments and mid semester exams which individually are marked out of 15 and are very easy to score because of the little syllabus which comes for the exam. 50% marks are in external- Whole semester's syllabus, question paper is not very easy and these marks are not very easy to secure.

Faculty

3.5

Professor or Associate Professor or HOD each staff working in the faculty department has minimum of a PhD. They are highly qualified and loving helping their students. If there is any doubt you have related to anything in the subject you can approach the teacher anytime during their long working hours and they will help you for sure.

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements. As for my plans after completing the degree, I aim to explore job opportunities in the field of industrial management, leveraging the skills an
