Remarks
I started my admission procedure, by first enrolling in JAC Delhi. From the beginning only I was very well convinced about giving DTU higher priority, however for the sake of being on the safe side I opted for NSUT, IIITD as well. However, IIITD didn't offer the courses I was interested in and for NSUT my preferred course was being given on the west campus which doesn't have a good reputation as such. I belong from the general category and for my preferred courses, the cut-off rank was around 56K (9th Round).
Course Curriculum Overview
Automobile engineering, during my prep days I heard and learned a lot about the course from my fellow students and faculty from respective coachings. Their mouths were all filled with praises for the course. The faculty at DTU is very good, knowledgeable, and experienced. They are really supportive and provide assistance whenever and whatever is needed. The level of exams is moderate, however, variations are there.
Internships Opportunities
Companies visit the campus every year to take in students for internships, eligibility mostly stands for 3rd-year students and onwards. However, anyone can avail of off-campus opportunities, if they want some experience and knowledge of their field.
Placement Experience
Placements generally take place 3rd year onwards. Many companies visit the campus every year, the exact data can be availed from the official site itself. The placement percentage from the college every year remains above 80%, Last year the highest package was 1+ Cr, with about 150+ students getting above 20LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees when compared to other engineering colleges of India, lie at the median. It's neither too expensive nor too cheap. The total fees for 4 years are 7.5-8L rupees. For students, with valid reasons and authentic papers, financial assistance is provided.
Campus Life
DTU maintains a very vast and good library with books, journal papers, and research papers available from various fields. DTU holds engifest and yuvaan every year (pre-covid), these are huge fest with great social life and ambience. There are many on-campus sports facilities. Separate fields and courts are provided for various sports activities. Further, students can avail sports equipment from the department itself. You`ll find many societies in the college, providing the valuable and vibrant experiences.
