Remarks
I applied for Chandigarh University but due to all the seats occupied there, I opted for the SMVDU. I didn't avail any quota for taking admission here. For taking admission here you need to behave minimum 50% marks in your graduation and then need to appear in the entrance test known as "SMVDEE" conducted by the university every year. After fulfilling all these eligibility criteria you'll get admission here.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course because I have an interest to explore the private sector and MBA is the only sector that allows you to do so. The faculty is great and has years of teaching experience. Most of them have done Phd, Mphil, MBA and teach in a very effective manner.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of campus is just great and with the completion of 2nd-semester examinations, students become eligible for the campus placements and get job offers from the companies like Shriram, Prescon, Axis, Hdfc,etc with a minimum package of Rs. 3lakh-7lakh annually. SMVDU provides 65% of campus placemets to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees sructure is most reasonable as for one year the fees of SMVDU is 98000 and the university also give scholarship benefits to the reserved category students. Moreover, teachers also provide free books, e-notes to the students who belongs from the poor bacground.
Campus Life
Tatva and Titiksha were the two annual fests that used to be conduct by the faculty for the students in which the students participate with full enthuiasm and showcase their talent. The university has own library built-in the university where the books are available with the latest editions for the students. Sports fest used to be conducted in the university where students from the other colleges also participate and win rewards. Vikalp was the only social group run by the students.
