Ishita Chawla's Review On Symbiosis Law School - [SLS], Pune

It is mandatory to appear for SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) as a precondition for admission to SLS, Pune. Candidate must complete the SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) online registration process. Candidate must pay Rs. 1950/- as a SLAT Registration Fees. Candidate must complete the SLS, Pune payment Rs. 1000/- per program (i.e. B.A. LL.B (Hons.) or/and BB.A. LL.B (Hons.)) while filling the SLAT registration form. The candidate should have passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates). SLAT will be an online admission test for 60 marks followed by WAT for 20 marks. The structure of SLAT includes 60 questions for 1 mark each covering Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. Total duration of test (SLAT+WAT) is 90 minutes (60 minutes for MCQs followed by 30 minutes for WAT).

I chose BBA LLB because I had commerce subjects in school. Moreover, being an aspiring corporate lawyer, BBA LLB was my first choice. The faculty is Excellent. There is a Small Group Learning program that improves the interaction between students and teachers. Term-end examinations are conducted timely and swiftly, even in an online mode. The teaching is excellent therefore the exams are well manageable.

Placement and internship are two critical steps to a law career. Symbiosis Law School, Pune ensures that every student explores the options available. The Career and Professional Development Cell is a student-cum-faculty body formed by Symbiosis Law School, Pune to facilitate the process of Campus Recruitment and Internship

A good percentage of students in our course got placed. Placement is an important factor. About 60 companies visit our campus for placements. Companies like General Motors, Wipro, TCS, SAP, etc., visited our campus for placements. Packages offered for students were quite good and satisfactory to the students. A good number of students got an internship at our college.

The quality of education imparted and the job opportunities provided by the institution make it worth the money spent. Scholarships are provided to the students based on their performance in an entrance or/and semester examinations.

CAMPUS LIFE at Symbiosis Law School, Pune is known for the holistic development that it provides to it's students. From sports to cultural events, the college has always bagged achievements in almost every co-curricular and extra-curricular activity. Apart from this, there is Student Bar Association and various cells and committees which provide the right platform to the students to build soft skills.

Hostel Accomodation is comfortable and affordable. The quality of the food and other amenities provided by the hostel is up to the mark. The markets are nearby and the timings are also flexible. The registration process for Hostel Accomodation is also easy and quick. Communication can be done easily via phone calls/email. Various payment meathods are available to make fees payment.

My interview questions were based on General Knowledge, Basic Legal Knowledge, Contemporary News, Situation based questions, Interests and hobbies, Academic Background, Extra and Co-Curricular achievements, etc. SLAT ( entrance test ) is followed by PI ( Personal Interaction) and WAT ( written ability test ). I had been enrolled with Career Launcher, Panipat which immensely helped me to ace in every stage of the admission process.
