Entrance Preview
The admission was based on marks from the final year of diploma. There were 4 CAP rounds which is an online process and in each round students were assigned college based on the cut-off percentage. I was assigned the college in second round.
Course Curriculum Overview
Multiple courses are available in the college where equally experienced professors are assigned for each course. All equipments for performing practicals were available. Guests lectures were scheduled every week to help students gain additional knowledge
Internships Opportunities
There were many companies offering internship in VIT. Many were software companies. Other than than those door darshan had limited forms available.
Placement Experience
The placement is one of the best in VIT. Many companies come for the placement in the 7th sem of final year. For extc the companies were L & T, TCS, Capegemini, Works application, I-GATE, Mu-Sigma, Tikona and many more. The eligibility criteria for these companies was min CGPA of 6.75(60%). The packages varied from 15k per month to much higher as some international companies provided really high package.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees would be considered high for a normal student. But the services you get are equally comparable, air conditioned rooms, labs with modern equipments a theatre where events are organised, indoor sports room and computer labs completely available for students at any time. The fees are 1 lakh 20 k for open category students while 65k for obc and 17k for sc/st.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships provided. EBC scholarship is provided for those whose annual income is less than 1 lakh and 50% or more tuition fees is returned.
Exam Structure
The class rooms and practical rooms were fully air-conditioned, so it was comfortable. The lectures of 2 hours really gave a tough time but some times the professors would make it interesting by showing videos or presentations on projector. All students were allowed to perform practicals at any time.
Admission
I was assigned VIT in the second round (CAP) based on my percentage (79%) and my caste(OBC). Students were alloted fixed time for admission process. We were required to submit all the documents we acquired from our lower education as well as the CAP round form.
Faculty
The faculty is highly experienced and really helpful towards students. All experienced professors were assigned to help students with their final year project. They also encouraged students to participate in extracurricular events. Extra classes were scheduled for tougher subjects.
