Remarks
I first applied for galgotia university but later realised the study pattern and facilities are provided same in gla University for lesser fees and even there were some benefits better than galgotia here in gla university. I also live nearby gla university so I didn't have to opt for the hostel. I belong to the general category and didn't avail any quota, I properly cleared the admission process which included a written test and a personal interview by the HOD. Minimum requirements are not to be worried about cause it's a private university and on requesting and showing interest, little parameters that are not met can be ignored but yes you have to be a 12th pass student from any recognised board from any stream or have a complete diploma degree. The basic percentage required at my time of admission was 75 percent but as I mentioned it is negotiable. The minimum age criteria are 16 which you will definitely fulfil as completing your 12th or diploma which is again a basic requirement for BCA.
Course Curriculum Overview
BCA provides the students with the opportunities of a software engineer in 3 years that a b. Tech students get in 4 years as in gla university same companies provide job opportunities to BTech and BCA students at the same time they are collectively participating in interviews for se companies. There is a professor over every 40 students as class advisor and can he can be approached at any time regarding any issues even irrespective of studies. All the professors that take lectures are PhDs at the minimum or pursuing their PhDs. They are led by the HODs which are in research work for many years and the experience of all the professors are 10 years at the minimum. This is one of the main reasons for opting for GLA the professors are very much learned and experienced and provide world level knowledge of the subject. Their teaching methods are so pleasing none can ever get tired. The exams are conducted every semester in 2 halves as mid sem and end sem. Exams are not that tough if you attend lectures.
Internships Opportunities
Field trips and internships begin from the second year. These are strongly based on the type, of course, you're pursuing from this college like for example if you are in BCA like me then major companies like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, etc but it depends on students better performance in academic and personal knowledge. Indeed opportunities of all kinds are provided here for an internship that adds up to your working experience and benefits you in the future for placement. These internships can be beneficial for you in terms of learning and even they might be paid and you will be given some money for that. Again it only depends on excelling of the students, how well they perform. Multiple group projects, solo assignments and in the final year the main project work that gives you practical knowledge and all these activities are overall in the best interest of students while applying for jobs. Apart from the course personality development classes and communication classes are also regular in all courses.
Fees and Financial Aid
The basic fees structure that only includes academic fees with exam fees included is on average 90,000 rupees and revolves around this every year it may increase 5,000 rupees. Scholarships can be availed by students who have more than 90 percent by filling the scholarship form that is available in the main office. Other government based scholarships can also be availed under the UP scholarship scheme. Overall academic cost without any scholarship for BCA from gla university may range somewhere to 3 lakh rupees. While with scholarship it depends on how many scholarships you can get still it can be somewhere to 2 lakh rupees. Other facilities like hostel, bus, mess and other expenses costs are extra and depend on what you need Like if you opt hostel you need not pay bus fees cause it's inside the campus only. You will have to only pay hostel fees that again depends on the type of room(ac or non ac)and several students in that room(single or partner) which ranges from 40,000 rupees to 80,000 rupees.
