Entrance Preview
I gave a number of entrance exams like jee mains, jee advanced, bitsat, vitee. Admissions in DTU are based on your score in JEE mains score and board percentage in which I got 174 marks and 94.8% respectively. Although I gave satisfactory performances in other exams too I chose DTU because other than studies it gives you the opportunity and environment to develop socially too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good but it is not much research oriented. College gives freedom to students in this way as each student do not focus on research oriented studies and thus it is not mandatory to study that. As I am a first year student I would not be able to elaborate on it much.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, our college does provide internships. Stipend may very. As there are people getting high stipend as well as those who work just to get some experience. Sometimes while interning some of the students get job offers too.
Placement Experience
More than 90% students got placed last year and placements were really very good. Companies which come to DTU are Amazon, Flipkart, codenation, Adobe, Google, epic, Samsung, Thorogh good, Hike, paytm, Expedia and many more. Google offered a whooping package of 1.27 core to a student from IT batch. Epic offered 70 lakhs to 11 students. Goldman Sachs offered 28 lakhs. The average package is around 10-12 lakhs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure has increased this year but still it is quite feasible as compared to that of other colleges. My total tuition fees for college is approximately Rs.6,00,000 for four years (just the fees for studying).While hostel fees is Rs.50,000 per year which is quite satisfactory.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarship provided to students performing excellently in the academics. The scholarship is provided at the end of semester. Also students whose parent's income is less than 2,50,000 p.a. are also provided relaxation in fees.
Exam Structure
The mid term are hectic as we have to give 5 papers in 5 days I.e. no gaps in between. While in end term we do get 1 day gap in every exam, so it is less hectic. The labs are chilled out especially when it comes to chemistry labs as one get free half an hour in advance.
