Entrance Preview

I opted for almost all the competitive exams and had a fair enough score, but I scored very less in the jee mains, which was my main aim. I had good score in MHCET and was able to get admitted in reputed colleges in India but PICT was the best for electronics and telecommunications and it the placements there were outstandingly good.

Internships Opportunities

Nope, the college does not provide internship, only the reputed companies are given a chance to provide internship to the college. Students have to apply for the internships and get a good score, the top students are given internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not provide scholarships but it just provides the government schemes and other things, there are no particular scholarships provided by college.

Exam Structure

Yes, the exams and labs are very strictly taken into consideration all the internal marks are calculated with reference to the internal exams, yes the college timing are very hectic and you have to attend the college regularly with a minimum of 75% but you will get zero internal marks out of the total.

Admission

I scored around 130 marks in MHCET and got admitted into the college. I applied to the first 2 rounds but did I had misplaced the names of colleges and did get a very bad college at the start of the round, next round i opted for very limited colleges.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
