Interns

The admission process was totally online all because of the covid pandemic, earlier admission into comedk colleges used to be by offline means, but this year counselling was done online. They conducted two rounds initially and one exclusive round after the end of the 2nd round. The exclusive round was tricky as u had to leave ur seat allotted in the 2nd round then you could participate in the exclusive round and in the meantime colleges had started taking admission there was a lot of confusion about that. But I went for the exclusive round and my college got upgraded from sit Tumkur to Nie Mysore. The cut-off for my branch that is ECE went around 10k so if u wish to get admission in nie Mysore in ECE then u need to get a rank under 10k. After seat allotment, I had to report to college by sending them a mail containing my dear allotment letter. After that college sent me the confirmation of seat and asked me to pay the admission fees which was around 231000. This was my college admission experience

About the course curriculum. It is 4 year course in ECE. There are two sections of each department containing 60 students in each. Coming to exams they take internals for the CIE(continuous internal evaluation) which consists weightage of 50% and the other 50 % is of sem end examination. They usually take 3 internal tests of each subject. And one semester end. There is nothing called mid semester examination here. Internals are of 1 hr while sem end of 3hrs. Internals generally happens after 1 month.

Internship begins in the 3rd year around the 6th semester. There is one compulsory internship for everyone. Internship records are mentioned on the college website in the placement options where you can get the graph of the last two years record.

The placement cell is active. They train students for the aptitude and all. Overall placement is 90% as per college details. The average package for the top 3 branches Is around. 5 lakhs per annum. Placement decreases in the civil and chemical branches. The mechanical branch of college is very good as many faculties are from IITs and hence have a good alumni network. Narayan Murthy is alumni of our college.

Fee Structures are as follows. Comedk seats have to pay 231000 per year. Kcet has a fee of around 80k to 90k. There is no campus job. Ther is the scholarship for Karnataka students only. About the Fee hike and I don't much.

The college has a good library. You can get books on whatever subject you want. There are no opportunities for extracurricular activities. The campus is very small as compared to other colleges. It has IEEE and ONYX clubs which you can join. Onyx is about pitching.
