Remarks

I applied to different colleges such as LD college, IITRAM college, MSU college and Nirma University. Amongst them, I found Nirma University a proper place for studies so I chose this. Nirma inspite of studying has a large campus that provides an awesome lifestyle to one's life. I learnt a lot of things and experienced many things through this university. It provides me with much knowledge about my studies and subjects but one thing about this is there are a lot many faculties which were new and unable to explain concepts properly.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course was designed in such a way that it was perfectly set for a semester. Along with this, there were mostly practical activities carried out in the lab but some were not. Experienced faculties explained best concepts while new was unable in doing same. Students queries were solved Teaching method was also good but some faculties just skip it reading from projector. Exams were good enough to make us understand everything and they make paper hard so we could learn.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internship was provided by the college itself and for me, it was located in Rajkot city. Under RUDA, where I and my friend carried out a lot of practical activities and learnt a lot. I am very thankful to the university and to RUDA for providing me with this practical knowledge which will help me a lot further.

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for placement from semester 8, which is the last semester. Some companies visited are Modroof, Tata Consultancy etc. The highest average package was about 6.5 LPA. 7 and above CPI students were mostly eligible for the placement category. I'll do masters after getting my degree but not from the same University.

Fees and Financial Aid

I took the MYSY scholarship. They also provided me with enough funds to take up my hostel fees and expenditures. They provide hiring opportunities but mostly the companies were non-technical so we could not take benefit of it. As for me I had to go in the technical field so there were some companies that came with technical field but the qualifications were hard for them.

Campus Life

4

Campus Life is one of the best things I found at Nirma University. I made a lot of friends. Amenities in class were also good but they had AC which they never turned on. Besides this, there were good seating arrangements, a projector, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Rooms in the hostel were 4 beds. From which I met the best persons of my life and they became a part of my life. There were two study tables. Besides this, there was a single attached w/c in every room. The meal quality was not so good so we had to go out for dinner.

Many top companies like IBM, Cognizant, JP Morgan Chase &Co. , TCS and many more. the highest package that went in my batch was 13-20 LPA whereas the average package is 7-8 LPA as per the company and profiles. Mostly 80-85%of the students got placed every year. Some students also goes for the higher studies or for their family bussiness. My plan after getting the degree is to join a AI/IoT company at better package.

Reliance Industries, ONGC, GSHC, GNFC, and likewise many state owned PSUs are the ones that comes here for placements. The reason is that this university was built keeping in mind demands of state industries in demand. One can expect a paycheck or 10 lakh CTC from PDEU as most students are paid in that bracket.
