Remarks

The college overall is very good with excellent Infrastructure and good quality education as well as high placement opportunities, Qualified and good faculties, with an awesome environment to study as well as grow.

Entrance Preview

Exam taken was COMED-K I don't remember the score but I do remember my rank and it was 6076. I opted for this college because of its excellent infrastructure and placement opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum when I was a student was under the VTU but as of now the college is following autonomous curriculum. Curriculum is at Par with any Technological Universities World Wide. It gives sufficient exposure to the students. All the departments have their own Research and development center where you can pursue your research dreams.

Internships Opportunities

No I don't think so as of now the college is providing any internship opportunities. May be they will start of soon.

Placement Experience

5

Placement opportunities is one of the best in India with more than 150+ companies visiting the campus each year. The College has a dedicated placement cell to ensure every student gets placed. The only drawback is that most of the companies are from IT industry. If you are looking for a job in core engineering industry, hard luck. The average package offered was 3.5 lacks per anum. WIth companies coming like Infosys, CTS and Accenture.

College Events

4.5

College use to have an annual fest named Furore with real interesting events like dancing, Singing, gaming and Sports. The main attraction used to be the DJ night with celebrity DJ like Nikhil Chinappa performing live. There are frequent celebrity visits in the college to promote their movies as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit expensive. The annual fees used to be Rs. 1,53,000. Hostel fees and mess fees comes around 1 lacks. The fees has to be paid yearly in one installment. Exam fee every semester is extra which is 560 per semester. All the stationery and everything has to done by the candidate.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I have no knowledge of any loan or scholarship facilities being made available by the college. But I think the college provides help for students coming from poor economic background.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio of Boys:Girls is roughly 3:2. The college has a really diverse culture as students come here to study from all over the India as well as abroad. There are constant workshops being held on robotics. There are technical events where students can showcase his talents in debates etc. The college also encourages sports.

Hostel Facilities

4

For boys there is two hostels available one is the NRI boys hostel and the second is the Indian boys hostel. The hostel capacity is limited to very few numbers when you compare the actual strength of the students studying. NRI hostel offers two sharing facilities and Indian hostel offers 4 sharing facilities. The mess food quality is decent enough.

Alumni/Alumna

Some of the Individuals of this college are highly successful Individuals. The college holds regular Alumini meets. They share their experiences about their interviews and future studies.

Exam Structure

When I was a student the college exams were conducted by the VTU. Which had 2 semester exams in a calender year. In each semester I had 6 theory subjects and two practical exams and the level of the exam was decent requiring a decent amount of preparation.

Admission

You just have to give the entrance exam of COMED-K. Based on the rank the person is called for counselling. If your all india rank is high enough you might get a seat in this institute. After the counselling you can go to the college submit the fees and take admission.

Faculty

4

Faculties are great. All of them are highly qualified individuals with in-depth knowledge of their respective domains. All of them are highly motivated and are good in boosting the morale of the students. HOD's of every department are PhD holders and many other faculties are as well.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
