Remarks

By writing JEE Advanced, I got qualified. From that, I got an opportunity for getting into IITs. On the counseling day, For mechanical Engineering, I choose IIT Dh, etc. After all rounds of counseling, I got into IIT Dharwad.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in robotics and got chosen for this course. The Faculty: Student Ratio is 6.5:1. The faculty members are well qualified and their teaching standards are very high. The Semester Exams are a bit hard and the time for the exam is 2 hours.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Top recruiters for internships are Google, Microsoft, Mcafee, drdo. Nearly 80 percent of the interested students got internships in both academic and industrial internships mostly in the analysis and R&D sectors.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester students, all the students are eligible for campus placements. The highest package is around 40 lakhs and the average package is around 12 lakhs. The companies visited are google, DRDO, Mcafee, etc. Nearly 70 percent of students are placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee is 110000 per semester. Only tuition fees are 100000. Due to the Scholarship provided by the institute, I will get my Tuition fees of 100000 back. It is affordable for me to pay. Even some students do some jobs as teaching assistants.

Campus Life

Many annual fests are conducted in a year of which parscc is the famous annual fest conducted in the month of February. Technostrop is the techiest celebrated in the month of June to July. Here in the library, we have numerous books available for free and it is also considered a knowledge resource of our college. We have classes equipped with centralized Ac which feels like heaven. Here we have many sports to play like cricket, volleyball, tennis, basketball and etc. Well, we have a students club called AI club where we used to solve our problems.

Hostel Facilities

We have rooms based on member sharing here we have 2,3 and 4 member room sharing. We have chosen 3 membered room which is very spacious. The food provided is simply awesome but recently they have removed the Non-veg from the list due to non-acceptance from north Indians. We have gone to the hostel registration office to get our room. There you will need to pay some advance for booking.

Hostel Fee: INR 6000 per year

Placement Experience:

This is the best part. The whole point of niat program is to get a study for the job. It's not like the old system where you chill for 3 years and panic in the 4th year. All the learning here are very different. From the first day itself we will be doing coding.

Over all IIT Dharwad is good not bad

I choose this college because I got computer science branch in IIT and fees is also low for me as a middle class student because I search in other nit have 2 lacks fee for one year for sc and fill this fee at the starting but here I fill 58500 in 1st sem and remaining in 2nd semester so it's And I applied for IIT Bombay here I choose chemical engineering but required rank is 679bbut my is 927 that's why not selected. Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

I applied for CSE and MnC branches of all the 1st and 2nd gen IITs along with the 3rd gen IITs, my rank was about 4.8k so I knew I could get CSE only in the 3rd gen IITs out of which I felt IIT Dharwad was the best. My main reason for choosing IIT Dharwad was CSE, also that it was mentored by IIT Bombay, so the syllabus is quite tried and tested, also Dharwad is near to the tech hubs of the country like bengaluru, pune, mumbai, hyderabad which is good for someone who is really passionate about CSE. IIT Dharwad is new but not forever..

The college comes within the list the prestigious colleges 'IITs' and that is the major reason to choose this college and not any other with my rank in jee advance. all you need to do is clear jee advance with a minimum rank of 16-17k to get entered and for computer science it is around 4-5k.
