Remarks

I believe the College life was excellent and one the best times in my life. I would rate the hostel life even higher as that was our home for the 4 years I spend there. Best and Recommended to Everyone.

Entrance Preview

I had joined the college with a payment quota and had heard about this college through my cousin brother who also happened to study there.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college had it all be it from education quality, research as well as extra curricular activities. It was indeed an experience and the college transformed into an mature individual. Moreover the Hostel Experience was a unique one. From fun to studies we had it all there and college indirectly was my home for 4 years.

Internships Opportunities

Daily routine starts at 9 O'clock AM. Daily we have lab session. We have projects in major subjects, seminar and assignment in all the subjects. other than internals and end semester exam they conduct task for our betterment.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement and Job Opportunities were good and this has improved over the years with major MNC's coming to hire the students. Major techies like TCS, Infosys, IBM, Siemens have all contributed in hiring freshers. The time I passed out was in 2007 and that year approximately the highest in last 2 years.

College Events

3.5

College Day was the most important one, Sports Day, Cultural Day, Branch Inauguration day for the 3rd Semester Day Students, Hostel Day, festival day, Diwali Celebrations, Foundation Day, and many events were organized during my association with the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are all categories of payment in terms of hostel but I guess college fees for entrance passed students were nominal but the payment quota was on the expensive side. As I joined on payment quota I feel the fees was high. But I guess the rates have even gone higher.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I don't have any idea about the same. At my time it was not there and I haven't heard of any loan facility the college had offered. Was not aware of any scholarship programs also during my time in the college.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was great and they had enough free space throughout the campus and this helped in moving around during our free time. A Big football ground as well as basketball ground, indoor gym and shuttle court. Coffee shops and a good canteen was also there throughout the day.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel Facilities are excellent and one of the best mess provided during my time. The charges were nominal and had a variety of cuisines considering they were preparing for 200 inmates. I have heard they have different classes of hostel nowadays starting from Non AC to AC rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

I guess all people move away and get busy in their life. I don't see much of alumni network build here and maybe that's one area the college could improve.

Exam Structure

No it was not at the time we studied and we had a very comfortable schedule in terms of training, exam and classes. The labs were equally placed and it was well handled. At times we felt that Lab times should have been more but I guess there are always small shortcomings.

Admission

I had joined through a payment quota as I was basically from Kerala and state entrance exam was not applicable for me. So the only option was to join through a Payment Quota. Since only that option was available I joined the college through this option.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college specially in our department of electronics and communication was excellent. They were strict as well as supportive to all the students. They supported the weak students specially. Quality of teaching is good. The professors here are very helpful even outside the classes. Schedule seems hectic at times. Tests are conducted regularly and assignments are also given often. Quality of teaching is satisfactory.

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.
