Jamia, A dream of students

The admission criteria for B.Tech in Jamia Millia Islamia are the score of JEE Main. As per the score of JEE Main a list of students, who are applied for the course is released. After that as per the student's preference of branch selected and the waiting list is released separately for every branch and a time of 1 week is provided to complete admission formalities. After the time of admission is over 2nd selected list is released from the previously released waiting list and some new students are added to the waiting list. This process repeats till all seat is filled. Now come to the admission process. If your name is released in the selected list then you have to visit college within the given time to complete admission formalities if you failed to do so then it will be assumed that you are not interested to take admission to this college and your offer will be rejected and other students from the waiting list will get chance in next round. If you want to take admission then you have to submit your documents.

I was very interested in civil engineering that's why I choose this course and during the full course, I enjoyed this course. Jamia is a central university and accredited by NAAC and NBA so you can guess that its faculty to student ratio is above average. Facilities of Jamia is highly qualified most of the facilities have done their PhD from a reputed university like IITs or from abroad. Exams of mid sem and final semester strictly follow the academic calendar released by college every year so you are well informed about your exam and you can prepare accordingly hence it becomes easy to qualify.

The internship fair is organised for students and also facilities help the students with their own links so that students can get internship opportunities. Every student in my class was provided internship opportunities and most of them were well-paid internships.

Placement opportunities are very high many well-known companies visit the campus every year for placements and about 80% of students get placed with a very good package as high as 50 lakhs. After 6-semester students are eligible for placements and two rounds of placement is organised every year that is in the 7th semester as well as in the 8th semester so that students get a fair amount of chances to get placed.

The cost to study is very low in this college because of the central university and no fees hike in the last 5 years. Placement opportunities are very high so you will get a chance to get placed at any multinational company.

The campus life of this college is awesome. The campus is spread in 5 acres of land and fully covered in greenery. College is connected with Delhi metro so you can go outside the campus easily. There is a very modern and beautiful sports complex situated on campus in which you can find every game from cricket to football, from tennis to badminton. And you will not believe that many players from this university have played at state and national level one of them is VIRENDER SEHWAG, yes you have read right Sehwag is from Jamia Millia Islamia so you can guess how's the sports facilities are there.
