Ashish Ranjan Singh's Review On JSS Academy Of Technical Education - [JSSATE], Noida

I passed UPSEE in 2014. I gained 160 marks and obtained 1277th rank in that state level entrance examination. With this rank i could have easily got top private college affiliated to UPTU, this was the reason i chose JSSATE without any second thoughts as JSS, undoubtedly, is one of the topmost private college in UP. Secondly I was aware of the fact that topmost companies regularly do visit its campus for recruitment.

JSSATE noida follows the course curriculum of UPTU. The course curriculum is outdated, it needs a review and a revision. The curriculum does not prepare the students to be prepared to meet the current challenges of engineering industries. No much preference is given to research.

Every year each department of our college receives an adequate internship experience. This year many reputed companies such as TCS visited our college's campus. I am not accurately aware of the stipend offered but it was certainly a good amount.

In my MCA department 17 students out of 60 are already placed and companies are still visiting our campus. Some students got package as high as up to 7.5 lacs per annum (certainly a satisfactory package for a fresher unless you are from IITs/NITs etc). Others also received good package, 6 lacs per annum being the average package.

Our whole semester is full of technical and cultural fests. Greatest of them all is 'ZEALICON', our annual fest. It is the gateway to showcase all our best cultural and technical events. It includes participation from all around the entire college. Zealicon is a three day annual fest which does the work of shooting up our technical as well as cultural skills amidst the hectic schedules of classes.

I got admitted to this college in 2014. Fee structure at that point of time was 1,20,000 for MCA. Same is for B.tech and MBA as well with little difference. Of course it is not an easy amount to pay for everyone. But thanks to scholarship programmes, it works as a saviour. Tuition fee is around 90000 rs.

Yes, many students have availed scholarships which JSS has been providing. More than half of our class has got scholarship of more than 50K. I have not availed loan so i am not aware about loans availability.

In JSSATE hostel facilities are only limited to undergraduate students. They do not provide hostel facilities to MCA/MBA or other Post graduate students. Anyways, it costs around 80000-90000 to those who reside in college hostel. The facilities provided by hostel is very efficient and up to mark.

We have three sessional followed by a semester exam conducted by university's end. We have 2-4 lab sessions per week. Sometimes this whole schedule of labs and sessionals become hectic but usually it is not so. We get enough time for our preparation.

I got admission in this institute through UPSEE examination. After passing that examination i had to go thorough counselling process. I got this college in 2nd round of counselling. I chose JSSATE without any second thoughts. The documents were verified in college also. Overall I would rate whole process as smooth.
