Remarks

IIT HYDERABAD has 9th rank in India in engineering colleges. I was getting 2 year M.tech program there. In better colleges I was getting Research assistant 3 year M.tech program. So I joined IIT Hyderabad.

Course Curriculum Overview

Those who didn't get IIT for there B.tech, M tech is the best time to explore IIT. I has CSE branch in b.tech, which is the most popular branch in engineering. So I wrote GATE and joined M.tech cse in IIT Hyderabad.

Class Size: 18Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement committee is awesome. 100% placement in CSE branch. Also decent placement in all the branches if not 100%. All the best companies of India visit here. They offer internships as well as full time offer. From 2nd year B.tech onwards one can sit for intership. Final year students are for full time offer. Highest package goes more than 70 lakhs for placement out side India. Lowest package is above 4 lakhs per annum.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Nearly 50000 per semester, which includes hostel fee, mess fee and course fee. As you are GATE qualified, you will also get 12400 rupees per month from MHRD as stipend. So basically expenditure from parents pocket is -ve.

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome. Lot of active clubs are there. You can join them. Lot of activities for students nearly every day. You will also get chance to attend lot of conferences. There are veriety of sports grounds, equipments available. Swimming pool is also available. Obviously GYM is available. Lot of books available in Library for every department. Mess food is awesome. Class rooms are hitech. Labs are also hitech. In computer labs, you will find world's faster commercially used computers. Seniors are helpful always. Campus placement is awesome.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is good. Mess food is good. You can find IIT Hyderabad hostel pics,videos in IIT Hyderabad website and in few youtube channels. Fees are nominal. You will get single bed rooms in hostel. Bus facility available to go outside campus from hostel and academic blocks. You can rent cycles for movement inside campus.

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.

A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF IITHYDERABAD

I appiled for vit and emcept but main goal to join iit, no i dint get rejection in any colleges i got admission in every college but i didnt choose because of my dream college. In iits we get very good and merit people and we get more free time and time to study ourself and learn things by ourself. We have a lot fests at least for a month we enjoy a lot and we have a lot of resouces to get knowledge and good faculity. The only one eligiblity for our college is to write jee advancee and mains . First for mains more than 14 lakhs people write and in that 14 lakhs 2to 3 lakh people slected for advance. And 23 k people will select fot advance the cutoff will be like we should get 95% above for mains but we dont know for advance they change for every year.
