An academic affair in IITK

Placement - for any candidate placement is top priority , so before joining i asked seniors of my branchresearch- as i admitted in research program i was mostly involved in govt project , my seprate thesis , we have good infrastructure for research but it can be approved further. We have several labs linex , windows lab where anyone can use it, we have also campus wide most of the research software for free , the best part we can also use this software from home ,Courses - some of the courses are out dated , do not know why they are stilll teaching this , but yes several courses like machine learning , artificial intelligence based courses are also there, optimization , statistics. This are some of the best courses which a electrical student can take. student to faculty ratio - the student to faculty ratio is worst in iit kanpur among all iits in my knowledge , and also iitk takes more student in PG EE ALMOST 145 STUDENT AS COMPARED TO IITD 90-100 STUDENTS , SO competition is high during placement , nift ranking of iitk is 4

Control and automation , i chose these because for EE student in this branch only we can heavily work on wide variety of topics like robotics , machine learning , fuzzy logic , artificial intelligence, optimization , smart grid , power controlStudent ratio is average not too good nor too bad , overall 1:18

In masters , 4th sem will be time for placement , placement is good in iitk for EE pg student , overall more than 180 companies visited iitk for software, consulting , analyst , vlsi , power profile.If someone is not placed in first phase which is organised in dec 1 to dec 10 , there will be second phase also.Till end most of the student is placed ,

Fee is very less less than 18k per sem , actually it varies in each sem , but overall i have paid less than 1.34 lakh for fees mess charges is 2.5k per month ,Placement is 70-90% in pg for EE STUDENT, most of people prepare for vlsi and rest of student software , ML/ AI ,power profile.Internship - it depends on guide they will allow or not , but yes some guide do allow fow qualcomm / intel which also give PPO

We have best in class infrastructure for sports , there are several clubs like programming club , music , frisbey, reafing , electronics , shooting , skating , photography , animation clubs.We have olympic size swimming pool which is open for two times with negligible charges , one hockey ground one football ground several areas dedicated for sports like new and old student activity centre.We have a open air theatre in new student activity centre where any student spends most of time for hanging out , eating pizza and rolls Before Pandemic we have almost every wwekend DJ NIGHT different halls , oat.

Hostel lyf is awsum , we can roam around anywhere , every festival from diwali ,holi to lohdi , is celebrated in differnet halls , u can also take your female friend in your room without any judgement ,but ofcours there is a time slot , likewise boys can also visit girls hostel.In each hostel there is reading room, table tennins , pool, library , computer room , playground , badminton court.
