Remarks

The college management is improving on a constant basis, specially due to the inclusion of our new director Mr GK Prabhu sir and I can speak with confidence that our college is on the verge of becoming one of the top institutions of India.

Entrance Preview

Manipal university entrance exam. I particulary chose civil engineering as my branch because it involves more of your practical knowledge as compared to the theoretical knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure is very evenly distributed with a vide range of electives to choose from. My list of electives were: 1. Building codes 2. Urban transportation 3. Environmental Impact Assesment 4. Aircraft designs. The credit system was also very helpful in letting you know the kind of hard work you needed to put in, in that particular semester.

Internships Opportunities

Since I havent had any internship linked directly to my college. I might not have any information regarding the same. But as a matter of fact our college does provide with numerous internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

4

Placement and job oppurtunities have been good. Almost all eligible students land up with a job or two. Few Companies that visit are 1. Lnt, 2. TCE, 3. TCS, 4. Mu Sigma, 5. Accenture, 6. Goldman Sachs, 7. Mettl, 8. Maruti Suzuki, 9. Microsoft, 10. Cisco. They pay in a range of 3.5lpa to 24lpa in my opinion.

College Events

5

Our college holds to fests in an academic year namely Tech-Tatva and Revels. The two fest involves large participation from students of our college as well as from other colleges. The variety of work showcased is also huge proving the hardwork that goes behind all this from our beloved technical committee.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure when I joined in was 1.73 lakhs per annum for civil engineering and has since been on a constant rise. The fee structure according to me is a little over the top as with such a fee structure the college should have a lot to offer in terms of infrastructure, internet facilities and research facility. I am not saying that it is not present as of now but in my opinion it can be scaled up a wee bit.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since i havent availed any scholarship or loan facilities. I have no idea regarding such facilities.

Campus Life

4

Since, its an engineering college, the gender ratio is in favor of the guys. The campus life is quite amazing with provision of facilities such as swimming, gym, hostel library, football, cricket and hockey playgrounds. Regarding extracurricular activities, there are a lot of clubs like Redx for adventure sports, Rotaract for social service, Leo for photography, Mafia for music and arts and many more. All this provides a wonderful opportunity for a student to continue to work on his talent along with academics.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The official mess of our college, the food court, is below par in terms of quality of food provided. On top of that it is the costliest facility in comparison to all other independent mess inside the campus. The hostel facilities is also over the top expensive with rates being almost as high as the college tuition fee for AC rooms. Even the non AC rooms can be subsidized so that the lower income families can also afford such a facility.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a rich field of alumni in our college all of whom are connected through facebook groups. These groups provide us with much needed opportunities in our respective field of jobs.

Exam Structure

The exam structure and labs were actually very chill. With the division of the day into 3 halves, almost every class could enjoy 3-4 half days in a week. The two sessional and one end semester structure was also quite easy to handle providing us with ample time to study and receive decent scores.

Admission

1. Filled in the online application. 2. Took an online test. 3. Secured 112 on 240 with a rank of 5232. 4. Sat in the 2nd round of counselling and opted for civil engineering branch. The administration was very helpful. Since it was our first visit to that particular city, we were helped by the authorities in securing a place to stay in one of the best facility hostel blocks.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is very talented and experienced in their respective fields. From my experience regarding the final year project work, I had a wonderful exposure under one of the senior faculty who was quite friendly and at the same time work oriented towards my field of study.

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Placement Experience:

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements. As for my plans after completing the degree, I aim to explore job opportunities in the field of industrial management, leveraging the skills an
