Deepak Dnyaneshwar Sidlambe's Review On Vishwakarma Institute Of Information Technology - [VIIT], Pune

I gave MHT CET 2012.I scored 130/200. I opted this college because it was in my mark limits and also because of its superb placement opportunities.

The course structure was very elaborative. We had so many subjects on the sub courses like Heat transfer, Machine Design, Manufacturing etc. In the final year we had electives like FEM which has vast scope in research. Then some management electives like Operation research and Industrial engineering.

I haven't approached the college for internship.Neither do my friend have. So I think my college is not giving any internship programme.

Placements are excellent in my college.Specially for IT , COMPUTER, and ENTC students. There was around 60℅ placements in each of the department except Mechanical and Civil. Some companies like Infosys - 3.28 lac p.a, Accenture - 3.28 lac p.a, Wipro and Cognizant also with same package.

There were many technical and cultural events held in our college. Technical events like Mechgratia for mechanical students. Perception was the technical event for all departments in common. Participation was humongous around 60-70 % of VIIT College students. There were outsiders in small number.

I think the fees charged by VIIT is little more than the other colleges.But taking the other good facilities in our college sometimes I find it OK. The fees is around 1.2 lac per year for OPEN category candidates. There is also variation of fees according to caste. OBC students need to pay around 60000 per year while SC / ST candidates have fees less than 10000 per year.

No scholarship or loan facility is available in the college. The scholarship is only awarded by government in case your income is not exceeding 2lac p.a.

Exam were running smoothly as there was no shortage of exam halls and labs. The electricity was also not an issue as generator was available. Exam coordinator very doing there their duties honestly and sincerely. Paper timings very sometimes delayed by half an hour.

First we had our documents checked in ARC in the month of June 2012. After 1 st CAP round I was selected in VIIT for Mechanical Engineering.Then at the start of July I was done with my admission process. The administration was very systematic and helpful. Then in month of August our college started.

Some of the faculty members were very experienced (PhD) having experience of more than 15 yrs including industrial as well as teaching experience. They really taught us to gain some knowledge. But some M.tech faculties were just doing timepass in the class.
