Remarks

The admission process takes place online through the Cet cell of Maharashtra. The admission criteria are passing 12th and qualify Cet or JEE Mains. Open category students required very good marks in mhtcet or JEE Mains.

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer engineering is the best course in PICT. The faculty is also nice and well qualified. PICT is affiliated with Pune University, which has a very good curriculum. There are 4 exams in one semester. One Unit Test, insem, prilim exam and endsem.

Internships Opportunities

Many internships are offered by the college. From the 2nd year you ay get internship opportunities. But many students get internships on their own through different sources like Linkedin, Internshala etc.

Placement Experience

From 6th sem onwards you get placements opportunity provided by the college. The placements percentage is much better. Avg package is about 8 lakh. Many companies visit PICT. The training and placements section plays an important role in placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for one year is almost 1 lakh for general students. There is no scholarship provided by the college itself. But if you belong to any category then you get a scholarship from the government.

Campus Life

Many Technical and non-technical feasts are conducted in college throughout the year. Like Pulzion, Credenz, Zenia. These are technical fests. Art circle, Debsoc etc are the non-technical clubs. The library facility is much good. Ample of books are present. The sports ground of PICT is very small, but they provide very good sports facilities for students. Basketball, Volleyball ground is present inside the campus and for other sports, much private ground are there, where students can play.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

We have a great Training and placement cell , they first help for inturnship in 3rd and 4th year and also invites top componies for placements in our collage. 6th or 7th sem students are eligible for placements. 80% studnets among the eligible get placed. I will try to get a dencnt job too.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
