IEM IS THE BEST COLLEGE OF BENGAL

I have only chosen IEM because IEM has ranked the 3rd best Engineering college in West Bengal after IIT Kharagpur and NIT Durgapur. And the college has one of the strongest placement cells in the country, right from its inception IEM has provided for 1 to 2 jobs on an average for all its students. IEM has strict eligibility criteria. You have to get at least 65% in your 10+2 equivalent boards exam and a webjee rank of less than 5000 or above 95 percentile in JEE mains. You can easily get mechanical engineering in IEM if you have a rank of between 3000 to 5000. My rank was less than 5000 so I easily got my seat for mechanical engineering through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exams counseling.

I have chosen to study mechanical engineering because it allows me to build a better future for you. If you have a passion for Mathematics and physics, you can choose to study mechanical engineering because it will help you to sharpen your skills in the field of design, research, and manufacturing of equipment, aircraft, and other vehicles. The student to faculty ratio or the mentor to mentee ratio of IEM is 1:18 Faculties of IEM is good, most of them have extremely admirable personality. The professors of our department are so much helpful and they help students at any possible time. They have the patience to teach us and are perfectly up to date.

IEM provides enormous opportunities for internships. Being the 3rd best college of West Bengal the topmost companies from all around the world come up with some amazing internship offers to the students. Students can complete or apply for internships even after being placed during the campus placements and can get a stipend up to 50k per month or more.

Students of our mechanical department become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. Companies visiting our college during the campus placements are Wipro, HAL, HP, HCL,TCS Digital, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, ADOBE, FLIPKART, AMAZON ,ZOMATO ,etc. The highest package offered is 21 lakhs oer annum and the lowest package offered is 4.3 lakhs per annum. The placement rate is really good in IEM. About 85 to 95% of the students gets placed through the campus placements.

There is a minimal difference in the fees hike every year. As the total 4 years, engineering fees of IEM is 4.95 lakhs and you can see a very little difference of 4 to 5 thousand rupees in the total fees annually. As the college brings a lot of improvement in its infrastructure as well as in the academics the fees is also increased a little bit to meet all its expenses. The candidates who fall under the TFW category get the benefits of the financial help provided by the college. The college also reduces their semester fees up to 80% according to their performance in the semester examinations.

Our college has various clubs like the Student Driven club, sports club and the cultural club. The cultural club of IEM group comprises of MBA students who regularly organise extracurricular activities like film festivals, music, drama, quiz, dance ,competitions, Teachers day ,etc.
