I got into bit with the ST Category rank of 12000 in the first counseling itself. At first, i was excited about joining the bit. The admission process was quite smooth. Each and every document should be legit and you have to provide all the necessary details in counseling. Your rank in jee mains admission at that time should be around 80k for getting a seat for the general category. Now the admission is through jee mains
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is structured very well but it has room for improvements that are needed to taken care of in both course curriculum and also research field.Faculties here are very experienced and well qualified .There are 8 semester exams and under each semester exams there are 2 mid semester exams and best of two is considered.The mid semesters can be considered internals and practicals are external.The theory papers pattern follows basic structure and given that a student study timely it should be fine to score good.
Internships Opportunities
Tata Steel and Tata Power give paid internships that could be bagged into PPO. It gives 15000 INR as a stipend in the internship period. I don't know about the rest. Some companies do give internships but are very less and couldn't be counted on
Placement Experience
From my perspective, every student become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. I think many companies visit and 60 percent placement occurs most of the time. The least package is 3 lakh per annum and the highest could be 10 lakh per annum. Mostly it companies visit the campus. For core branches, some good companies do visit and give a good offer
Fees and Financial Aid
I have taken admission here in the S.T category and for S.T category students first-year fees are around 8000 and from the 2nd to 4th-year fee reduces to around 6000. Here SC,ST, and TFW students have an advantage in the fee section given that they have less to pay than others. Talking about the scholarship the students from selected categories are allowed for ekalyan which comes under the government.
Campus Life
There are many cultural and tech fests are organized under various clubs like Foyc, which is specially organized for first-year students, speaking of fests students can also participate in other colleges events. The Library of the college comes in very handy, related to curriculum pretty much all books are available. There are various clubs for various activities like Hncc for coding interested students, Modal club for technological purpose, sports club, Leo club, eco club, etc.
Hostel Facilities
In my perspective hostel is better than PG. First of all, it is not very costly, 5000 for hostel management, 2000 for electrical supply per semester, and 2000 mess fee per month.4 students per room provided and rooms are big enough for containing all 4 easily later in the final year it becomes 1 student per room. Speaking of the registration process, it happens during the time of admission upon filling the option in the form.
