Remarks
I applied to many colleges but chose KJ somaiya as it is situated in Mumbai and that provides many opportunities. I didn't avail any quota. Admission criteria were simple just GD and PI and we needed some cut-off marks in any of the qualifying exams. The admission process was pretty smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
Variety of courses to choose from. 1:20 ratio of student and teacher ratio resp. Most of the teachers are PhDs and experts from industries. Term exams are divided into trimesters and it is fairly easy to clear them.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are given by the companies like nestle, GEP. Britania etc. Also, there is a huge inflow of startups where students can learn a lot. I worked in a start-up and projects were pretty good. They helped me a lot in improving my profile and add value to my CV.
Placement Experience
The placements are good. Companies are like Amazon, Deloitte, KPMG, and other companies keep visiting with handsome packages. 92% of the students get placed. I plan to take the Placement process once I am done with the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the fee hike was there. There was no such major scholarship from the college. Though they give some scholarships to the minorities like Jains. Though given the infrastructure and facilities I think it is justified.
Campus Life
The annual fests are good. Mealange is the fest which takes place, books are available and a lot of research papers are also there. They also provide an Ebsco subscription too. Sports are great. They have Olympic size running tracks and all the courts.
Interview Experience
Yes the GD topics were mainly from the current affairs and case studies which are very easy to handle and require the presence of mind. The process takes place in many cities and the process was quite smooth. The interview was seamless. Most of it is about the CV the student is carried. I prepared by myself, I did take the help of some of the youtube and online content available on the internet.
