Entrance Preview

I had to give NPAT where i secured a rank of 921 and took admissions in MBA-Tech Computer Science. I opted for this course since it saves one year of MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course not only focuses theoretical knowledge but also develops an individual's analytical mind. The course unlike other engineering courses actually develops an inclination toward the subjects. It makes sure that an individual has substantial knowledge about the subject and is not working towards just passing the exam.

Internships Opportunities

Our college provide a technical internship of 4 months after the third year and management internship of 6 months after the fourth year.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is 100% placement with an average salary of 6.5 lakhs for our course. The highest salary goes upto 13 lakhs. We have got one of the top firms coming to our college for placements. Though the B-Tech overall placements are not that great since only the cream crowd of class gets well placed, the rest are paid peanuts.

College Events

5

We organise one of India's largest MUN called MUMBAI MUN with more than 500 delegates participating. We also have cultural fest called Satva and technical fest but these festivals are not that fascinating. There are many committees and many events held regularly in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our 1 year fees is 3.5 lakhs which is very expensive to afford. It does not include the hostel or mess fees. Though the fees are exorbitantly high our college definitely utilises that money for maintaining an outstanding infrastructure, highly qualified faculty and well equipped labs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since there are no loans or scholarship facilities which our college provides i can't talk about it much.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio of girls to boys is around 2:5. Almost 40% of the students are from Mumbai and the rest is outstation crowd. There is no discrimination on any grounds. There are a lot of extracurricular activities, debates, MUN's, sports. Unfortunately, we don't have a ground in our college.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel rooms are very few and people have to opt for PG's. The hostel charges 1,70,000 per year while the PG's cost around 20,000 per month. The mess food is cheap and hygienic. Though the mess is not large enough compared to the strength of the students in college. Its difficult to find a place during the lunch hours.

Exam Structure

We have 2 semesters a year with 70 marks external evaluation and 30 marks internal evaluation. The internal evaluation is very exhaustive since it comprises of experiments, assignments, presentations, projects, viva and 2 written exams of 15 marks each.

Admission

I cleared the NPAT exam and was called by the institution in there first slot. Since i was getting the stream of my choice (Computer Science), I submitted the demand draft of three and a half lakh and confirmed my admission the very same day. There was also an option to cancel the admission within around one month time.

Faculty

5

We have got the finest faculties who are well qualified and passionate about teaching. The faculty ratio of teacher to student is 1:6 which is appreciable. The faculty is easily approachable and always ready to help. We also have visiting faculties from other reputed colleges but they do not match upto the level of our college faculties.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
