Iwa Alankrit's Review On NMAM Institute Of Technology - [NMAMIT], Udupi

Comedk ,12323 was my rank and i opted for this college because this was one of the top 10 colleges of Karnataka and the surroundings and environment. Where the college is located is very serene and calm. So i can study well and i had a strong feeling that i can get well to this place as i am a keen traveller and there are awesome places to visit around.

The course curriculum is great and most importantly it is flexible. We have changed some of the courses according to the current need of the IT sector and the college supported us in the change. This was the best part of the college that they welcomed all sorts of changes and tried to incorporate all that was important.

Yes the college provides internships, general stipend which i know is 10 k. The internships which i know has happened with Infosys , Informatic and some others.

Placement is really well. Companies like VM ware, Samsung visit the college and place students. Many students get well placed. There are many other companies which visit the college and students start getting placed in the 7th semester itself. Other companies which come to the campus include Infosys, Wipro, Siemens, etc.

Fee structure is around 1,60,000 per year and this is normal for a private college. This is a worth private college to spend for according to me because i was really benefited from this college. The study, the environment and the people around will never let you feel that the place is not worth.

Scholarships are there for CET people as in localities and i am not sure if we have any such kind of privilege. As much as i know, Fellowships are for the people whose parents income is 10 k. The college is worth studying.

Hostel facilities and mess is much better than many other colleges in the south. I really loved my hostel food and there has not been a day when i have missed my morning breakfast and night dinner in the hostel. The food is fine and gets changed also because we have mess leaders.

Alumni network is good and seniors are helpful if you approach them. It depends on the way you contact and approach seniors and then obviously they reciprocate in the same way.

Exams do happen in the same way as it happens in any engineering college but as this is an autonomous college, exams and scoring becomes a little more easier than many other colleges under the VTU university. Exams are always tedious if students don't pay attention to sessions of college.

I wrote comedk and went for counselling to Bangalore and then i could see all the colleges and branches list and i chose my branch and college from that list and filled it in a form and submitted it, A little later, I went inside a room where i finalised my form again and thus i got this college.

The faculty was really good and they were really inspiring. They specifically made sure that the knowledge is not imparted as spoon feeding and they taught really well. If you just listen to the lectures, you would really not have the need to study your lessons on a daily basis,rather you can work on different new technologies.
