Entrance Preview
I took an exam called PGCET which is a government entrance and I scored 413 rank at the state level and I opted for this college because its a very well know and one of the top 5 colleges in karnataka.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for MBA program here is set by VTU university as the college is affiliated to that university and the college for MBA program is not an autonomous one hence the college cannot set their own curriculum and this is done only for engineering as the engineering discipline of the college is autonomous.
Internships Opportunities
This college does not provide internship directly but they do assist in internships. And coming to the stipend part MBA program internships do not get any stipend. But the engineering disciple do get some amount of stipend.
Placement Experience
The placements for MBA during my batch was very less . There were few companies like mentor graphics, HSBC, OCWEN financial services, Northern trust. But not at the campus but it was an off campus. The package of 7.5 lakhs being the highest offered and 2.75 being the lowest offered.
College Events
There used to be a lots of events which were being celebrated in the college major one being the BMSCE UTSAVA . Which used to be a star studded event and is the top event among the college fests in Bangalore. Apart from that in the MBA department we used to have International conference and MBA department inter collegiate fest.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network for the MBA discipline is average and not that great and we could not get any assistance from them for the placements and all the stuff but I have heard that for the engineering discipline its really good.
Exam Structure
The exam structure in the college is pretty hectic and as there would be internal assessments .Every month and this would be for three months for all the subjects and after a gap of one week. We would have the annual semester exams. So that used to turn out to be pretty hectic.
Admission
To get admission in this college we need to take PGCET exam which would be in the month of june or july and the notification for the same will be available in may. After the results of the exam are out in august then we need to go through the counselling procedure and then on the merit list get the admission and go to the college and pay the fees.
Faculty
The faculty of this college are highly experienced and knowledgeable . Many of the faculty members are PHD holders or are pursuing their PHD the skill and experience of the staff over here is exceptionally good. And they have a great knowledge about the subjects they handle here.
