Rahul Mahant's Review On GH Raisoni College Of Engineering - [GHRCE], Nagpur, Nagpur

I scored 85 marks in my MHT-CET. So have got the seat for Electronics Major in this college and it turned out to be a better college in terms of infrastructure and pretty decent faulty members.

Course was good for ETRX branch, as it was an autonomous college so, many miscellaneous projects were arranged for us and multiple soft kills building sessions were also included in the Curriculum. So overall it was great following University syllabus for the theory exams.

It was same for all the candidates who were admitted by the government recognised CAP process. So, it may depend on the caste/category you fit in and the sponsorship is generally opted by many students there.

For me, the college placements were not a fit, as I was securing 59% aggregate till sixth sem and that's when most of the companies come to recruit. TCS, Wipro,Tech-Mahindra are few. Not many companies for the technical core sectors though. Should always try to maintain good aggregate/CGPA in order to be eligible for companies.

There were many technical/cultural events you can observe in a calendar year. Antaragini was the annual event which was inter college event. It holds for more than 15 days. Students from other colleges can participate in this. Also some inter branch events are scheduled in each semesters.

Fees is justified, at our time it was 86000 per year. So it was good to pay thinking of knowledge and placements you have an eye on. Now, the fees is around 1.05 lakhs per annum. You can get scholarship benefits as well, if you come from CAP admit. It includes all facilities covered including library and internal sports/events.

I am not sure about the loan facilities as i didn't take that but yes for toppers, they provide good scholarship amounts for top three in each branch.

Campus is pretty decent with each branch separated by the floors of the building. Canteen is really good place to chill. Workshops and various events and communities are arranged by students itself. Gender equality is always there 70:30 to Men:Women.

It was chilled for the internal exams as in the sessional exams two papers in a day was planned and two Sessionals per semester was the pattern. You would get enough time and practice to prepare for your Final semester exam. This is the best college in terms of giving preparation leaves and enough time to semester break.

I have got the admission through the second round of CAP rounds I attended. First round was not lucky for me as the cut off was not matched by my score, so I reapplied in second round and got it fine. Faculty was helpful for all admission related queries.

Faculty was splendid for the support, we would require from them. They were willing to take extra sessions for particular requests. As well as for practicals, they were happy to reteach us on some. Their knowledge sharing and interpersonal skills were also better. Overall 8/10 for the faculty
