Based on the GPAT score, shortlisted candidates were called up for Group Discussion and a Personal Interview was conducted online due to this pandemic situation. The admission was offered on basis of overall merit determined by the university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course designed and updated in conjunction with Industry mentors and veteran professionals, to focus on domains in pharmaceutical, health care, medical devices and digital health care. The faculty members in the department are all well qualified and hold rich and diverse experience from industry and academia. Communication skills, personality development, and other soft skills are required to succeed in corporate life. The department's industry collaboration happens through live projects, representation from professionals from the industry as visiting faculty for teaching an entire course, as well as domain-specific guest lectures.
Internships Opportunities
The Internship is done through a campus recruitment program (CRP) using various platforms including both online processes (Google meet, zoom meeting, telephonic, and Skype) or in-person method. The internship activities are coordinated by an internship committee, headed by the placement/internship coordinator. It comprises faculty members and student representatives. The internship cell is responsible for correspondence with prospective employees, arranging pre-internship talks, Aptitude test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and providing other facilities that may be required by the visiting organizations. Internship opportunities are available in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Market Research, Business Research Associate, Clinical date Management, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource, International MArketing, Clinical Operation, Regulatory Affairs, Production Planning, Project Management, Business Development, Pharmacovigilance.
Placement Experience
In 2018-2020, the highest package offered was 9 LPA, the average package was 4.5 LPA. 27% Pharmaceutical Sales( Domestic and International Sales), 22% Product Management, 16% Medical Devices (Sales), 14% Business Consulting, 11% Market Research, 8% B. Development. Fees and Financial Aid
First semester fees INR 130000. Second semester onwards INR 150000. (NR 110000 + examination fee 5000). No scholarship applied. Summer internship placement assistance is available. Final placements in well-known companies in the industry including top Indian cos, MNCs, and Global brands.
Campus Life
College life at Jamia Hamdard is one of the best experiences you'll ever experience. It has a huge green and clean campus which fills up your day with energy. There is a big sports complex of Basketball, cricket ground, football ground, badminton court, volleyball court, table tennis court. There are many canteens to be found on the campus. Jamia Hamdard has some of the best faculties on the campus. All of them are very passionate about their subject and aims for nothing less than perfection for their students. There are several festivals and fests conducted and organized within the campus. Which eventually gives every student a platform to showcase their talent and to take a break from their studies.
Interview Experience
Group Discussion topic: The migrant worker crisis could have been avoided. The time limit was around 15 minutes, in which the first 13 minutes we discussed with each other, and last 2 minutes we summarised the topic. Later according to serial no. one by one were called for a personal interview among the selected. Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks or core CGPA 5 on a 10-point scale. Preparation for these rounds: Journals, Newspaper, Social media, etc.
