Best college for moderate hard working students.

GATE 2013 , AIR-2243 This college is best suitable for this rank and this college is the nearest national institute from my home town.

Course there is not much difficult. Course is divided into two parts . Three semesters for theoretical study and one semester for Dessertation. Examination for theoretical part is easy because most of questions come from the data that was covered in class room. which was easy to get good marks.. 6 month of thesis period need little bit more efforts for good completion of course. it also depend on the Guide which you opted for your thesis work.. Good guide expect hard work but also help in thesis. Where as other Guide expect only completion of thesis.

Yes we also get 8000 per month as stipend for Mtech. That time it should also increased about 12500. Students of PHD Also getting 25000 per month as stipend. But stipend will be given to those students who has passed some appropriate exam like GATE for Mtech and NET for PHD.

Placement for B.Tech Students was very good means above 95 percent. For M.Tech students it is also good but some companies don't allow M.Tech student , But for teaching job placement is better there for M.Tech also placement for MBA students is average most of the software company treat equall all course students and allow for Placement.

In NIT Kurukshetra a lot of events are organised in even semester by different courses separately. In one year about 4-5 fests are organised, on band also come and one celebrity come every year a open theater is there for celebration of fest and night party dance is also organised by student. I Also had organised a twelve days Solar photovoltaic teacher training programme every student get opportunity to get part in events and organizing team.

The fee structure is feasible. In my case per annum fee was 48000 rs. And I got 96000 as stipend means 4000 per month I can get for my other expenses like hostel and mess. This fee is much less than any other private college fee. And we have to pay this fee in two installments which have to be pay in each semester. This fee is more than fee of IITs but approx half or one third of fee of private colleges.

I was getting scholarship from MHRD 8000 per month that time due to admission through GATE. Other students can also got scholarship like for SC, ST Students and those students whose father income was less they have to show the income cert of their father and can get scholarship. Doctorate students also got scholarship.

Campus life in NIT Kurukshetra was awesome. It has a huge campus just connected with the campus of Kurukshetra university so overall combined campus is very large.. great greenary inside the campus, swimming pool, large sports ground separate for both NIT and university, good road for cycling . Every year there will be different competition for sports, games, technical events robotics. Students can also get chance to play outside in inter college competitions. Sexual ration is good there about 750/1000. In terms of cultural activities a lot of chances will be there.

In NIT Kurukshetra that time total hostels were 9 out of hostel no 7,8 & 9 are new and good . These three hostels are single bed based while other six hostels are old constructed and their conditions are affordable only . These hostels are single, double and three bed bases. Rooms are given according to seniority means single bed room for senior most and three bed room for junior most. Hostel gee was very less 3000 per semester. Mess facility are average , food is ok ok and and charges are also average about 2000 per month that time.

Alumni network was not so good, we dont have till organise any get together after college. Just we have a network on social sites only.

Lab there are very chill because it's your own interest how much hard work you want to do there . No faculty bother more in case of lab to force the students as semester system is there so exam come very soon but not so hectic as exams are not so much difficult.Exam in NIT Kurukshetra is much easier than any other private college because students have to prepare for very small study material which was covered in classes. Sometime teacher also marked some important questions.

I got admission in this college by getting 2200 AIR in GATE 2013 Examination. You should get a suitable rank below 3000 in GATE Examination after that apply for admission in different college where u want admission and attend their counselling if you got short listed for admission in those colleges.

There are all level of faculty in my college some are very experienced and brilliant , some are average and few are lazy not want to take class. But overall faculty are good every faculty has good qualifications mostly are doctorate or pursuing doctorate from same college every year some faculty on ad-hoc basis also come there for one year of contract.
