Remarks

Admission was based on the basis rank obtained in Kerala Engineering and Medical entrance examination (keam). We can opt for our desired college and admission to the respective college will be decided as per our rank. Seats are given as per our quota too. The next step is to submit the mark list on the keam website and option registration for the desired college. After that, through allotment, we get our admission as per the rank. 5 allotments are given including 2 spot allotments as per the vacancy seats in the college. As I choose college according to distance from my location and the ranking of govt colleges in Kerala so I can afford my fees. Finally, I got the right college in the allotment process. I got merit admission as per my rank (22325) and according to my quota(obc). The admission process is carried out in the college. All instructions and documents that should be submitted are given on keam website. As per the details, we should appear in the college for further verification.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Mechanical engineering is high scope for job opportunities both here and abroad. As mechanical engineering is my ambition too. There are 66 students in my class. And around 60 students in the rest of the branches. For 1 sem 6 subjects are there and 8 teaching staff are there including lab section. Though the classes are online through the live interactive section with recorded classes and PowerPoint presentations and animation it is better than offline classes. Teachers always there to help and guide and to clear any doubts at any time. Assignment and lab works are given in google Classroom with a scheduled time of submission. And internal marks are given according to performance like timely submission active interaction etc. In each semester 2-3 series examination conducted and is conducted online and is strict. It is not that difficult only 2-3 modules for each subject. It also helps to reduce the burden in sem examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

First, we have to PTA, and the placement fee is 6750 at the time of admission. Then all the study materials are provided through PDFs thanks to the online mode of education there is no need to buy books for referring during semester exams. For the semester examination, 1500 has to be paid directly to Kerala university. There is a lot of scholarships provided by both government and private institutes for educational needs. Based on the marks, caste, religion, and performance many scholarships have been approved from college to meet our educational needs such as to pay exam fee Etc. Egrantz, central sector scholarship, merit cum means scholarship, Hormis scholarship, post metric scholarship, MEA scholarship, etc are provided. Based on our score achieved in hse examination and our caste, for reserved category and backward classes, religion we can register them with their respective site and submit in college.

Campus Life

4

Starting from freshers day, the college has arranged various festivals and programs for active students. Though they are online it covers all the fun dance music arts and all. Many organizations are conducting workshops based on many topics such as cryptocurrency, ethical hacking, graphic design. Which not boost our knowledge but also awarded us with ktu points and credits which are necessary to complete the semester. Various sports activities are also included and NSS camp are there too. As the camp provides all essential programs and moral activities which include volunteering in election time, blood donation helps to improve life skills, etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
