Remarks
I also applied for MDU Rohtak for Computer Science, but I did not attend because of low placements than CCS HAU. The admission criteria for COAET CCS HAU is jee mains + ICAR paper and no other entrance exam such as Group discussion, Personal Interview and Written ability test will be taken. I secured 93 percentile in 2019 jee mains and I easily got admission with that percentile. And the admission process was also easy. On the admission day, I was said to verify my documents such as the 10th, 12th mark sheet, aadhar card, Domicile, Character certificate, Migration certificate, anti ragging certificate, two photographs. I got admission in the TFW category (Tuition Fee Waiver) so I also submit EWS(Economically Weaker Section) certificate. After the verification of the original certificate and submission of photocopies, we have to pay admission fees plus first semester fees (for hostler 6 month hostel fees)
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose agriculture engineering because of two reasons. 1) Good scope in future. 2) Sacredness of the field as we work for increasing quality and quantity of the crop yield and thus we can make a contribution in the improvement of Farmer's financial conditions. The faculty to student ratio is also good ( about 5:1). Some faculty are well qualified from the top institutions of the country but the teaching method of some faculty is not as good as of the college. This is a bad point of this college. But this can be neglected in front of facilities provided by the college like a world class library and stadium etc. The university's environment and infrastructure are also very good. In a semester there are 2 exams. Midterm and final. The midterm is 20-30 marks which is a part of internal evaluation and the final is 100 marks which is a part of external evaluation. Papers are of moderate level. You can easily score good marks by studying in last week
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities of our college can be ranked as average. Students of the 3rd year go to 2 to 3 companies for internships every year. Last year one student and a teacher makes a patent on a gooseberry machine.
Placement Experience
Placements of our college can be ranked as average. Various companies like escorts, Mahendra, Nestle visits the college for placement purposes. These companies hire only 4th year students. The average package of our college is 3.5 lakhs per annum while the highest will goes to about 6 lakhs per annum. The percentage of the students getting placed is about 45 percent. Besides the placement students also prepares for exams like Indian forest service, SSC CGL etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure of the college is such that it is affordable for almost all the students of every type of financial conditions. As this is a government college so fees are very less as compared to other colleges of the same degree. The fees are about 9000/year. There is a good scholarship for SC/ST and OBC students. And for general category students with poor financial conditions, there are some reserved seats of TFW category (Tuition Fees Waiver). There is a one time scholarship of 4000 for the top 10 students who got admission through jee mains. For ICAR students there is a scholarship of 3000/month. For the top 5 students of a semester, there is a scholarship of 800/month. A scholarship of 2000/ semester is given to SC /ST students for books. So students with weak financial conditions and interested in agriculture engineering, this college could be the best for them.
Campus Life
Every year Engineering day (15 September) is celebrated in our college. There is a world class library that comes under the top rankings of Asia. Library provides a wide range of books( Political, Spiritual, Technical, Academical etc. and journals on almost all topics. Library also has a computer unit, a browsing area and a Night Study Hall. Classrooms are of moderate level. The facilities and infrastructure of the college are constantly improving. Also, Civil., Mechanical and electrical labs are present. There are various opportunities for the students interested in any type of sports. There is a Giri centre in the university which provides almost every type of sports facilities. There is NSS and NCC unit in the University. NSS unit organizes various types of extracurricular activities. Some very students played and win at the state level and national level.
Hostel Facilities
All the first year students of all degree ( Btech, Bsc, VS, VlDA) allotted rooms in the same hostel ( Vrindavan hostel). In the second year, the students will be given rooms according to their degree. All B.tech, MTech and PhD students will allotted hostel no. 1 ( Kailash hostel). A room has two fans, two gates (one on the main side and the other on the balcony side) and proper ventilation. Sanitation is properly managed in the bathrooms and toilets. There is a security guard present in the hostel 24 hours. The fees of the hostel are also very less about 5000/year.
