Ground report

The college had a decent number of placements and a good campus. Admission process was according to karnataka government since my admission was based on KCET entrance exam.My rank in KCET was around 41k and OBC quota so at the time of option entry this college seemed like a good option.

Computer science was my default option since I had interest in these subjects. The crowd in BLDE is average, most people are from North karnataka region.Faculty of CSE dept is good as most of faculties are pursuing phD and some already have phD. The faculty for major subjects like Java, DBMS, DS are very good while for other subjects they are not that good. Internals and other exams are taken very seriously here. Its a VTU affiliated college so the semester exams were conducted by VTU.

Internships with stipend are a rare in this college but there are 2 or 3 paid internships. Overall not so good at internship opportunities. Although the companies you get placed in offer you internships with good stipends.The college lacks practical curriculum by not offering good internships to their students. Since atleast one internship is compulsory as per VTU norms they call in training institutes which offer internship online (duh) .

Placements here are above average and a good number of companies come in for pre final year students. Placement trainings are offered by the college and they are serious about getting you placed if you are interested.Here are some of the companies we had coming :Cognizant - 4.5 lakh package - Program analyst traineeTCS - 4.2 lakh package - System assistant trainee Lido learning - 10 lakh package -Sales executive Byjus - 10 lakh package - Trainee Finflux - 11 lakh package - Full stack developer Sonata software - 3.8 lakh package TechMinfy - 4 lakh package - cloud developer and many others like these.The percentage of students getting placed is below average for example, out of 120 about 40-50 students got placed since many students opt for government services or M.tech or not simply interested.

The fee structure for management seat is around 1.4 lakh per annum other than donation. This varies on your percentage and rank. Scholarships are provided by the college based on your percentage ( Mostly fee waiver schemes) and KCET students the fees is 65210 per year. Placement in this college is above average since there are 20+ companies with package of around 4 lakh per annum( Product based companies are a rare). There are good MNCs like cognizant TCS infosys with packages of above 4.5lakhs and 10+ companies with offer above 6lakhs. So overall the placement opportunities here are good but the number of placements are above average.

Life at BLDE is okay. Although there a decent number of clubs to join like IEEE, Startup club, communication and commitment club and cultural room ( This one was good). They have a very good library with great books. Classrooms are not good seriously. But campus is pretty much survivable. There are canteens playrooms etc on campus.But at the end of the day it's your college once you take admission and study here you will probably not hate it.
