Remarks

Name of my college is Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology and Management, formerly known as Northern India Engineering College, is a private engineering college located in New Delhi, India. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.Since I was not able to score good in my JEE mains exams i had to look for other options. Then there was the exam conducted by the IP University which i took and got a rank under 5000. Through which i was able to select a few colleges with Computer science stream and ADGITM was the best that i could get.The selection process is based on the IPU exam but the day you go to submit your documents to the main University the process is really slow and hectic. The selection process in sliding cut off is really bad.The infrastructure is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose Computer Science stream as i was interested in AI and data Science.About the Computer Science course that i took it is not upto the mark.you expect a Computer based subject to be more practical and it should be but mostly what we are taught in our course is theory.Student ratio in my course is 3:1 boys to girls. The faculty provided to the 1st year student is really good but as you progress in years the faculty quality decreases. The teaching method is mostly theory which it should not be, students are not recieving enough exposure here. There are 2 minor exams and 1 major exam per semester which does not sound a lot but believe me 1 minor and 1 major is enough for students. The difficulty level of exams is moderate, there will always be 1 easy and 1 difficult subject every semester.

Internships Opportunities

2

You have to find an internship for yourself if you are in the 3rd or 4th year and believe me look for an internship at least 6 moths earlier. The college does provide you with a course in you 2nd year but that is it.its not that great as the college equipment is out dated and students need to bring their own machines to work on.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement in our college is not that great you may hear people saying 75% students getting placed but the reality is not that great.Students become eligible to sit in the placement exams from 7th semester on wards only. For all the companies you should not have any back logs in your exams, and for some companies the overall percentage of the student must be higher than 80%.Mostly the companies are mass recruiting companies such as TCS and infosys Offering a package of 3.5 lakh annul.About 50% of the students get placed including off campus placements.Average package is around 400000 and the highest that you can get is around 1500000.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for every year is similar and per year the fee is around 1 lakh. The equipment must be upgraded if they are taking this much fee from the students. The fee for every course is similar. The fee can be hiked by the college as per its policy which actually happened during the time i was in college, there was a hike of 20 thousand in my third year which obviously the students protested against. The placement is not that great mostly students get in mass recruiting company such as TCS and infosys which offer a package of 3.5 lakh per annum. The highest that you can get if you are skilled and lucky is about 15 lakhs.Usually students go for off campus placements.

Campus Life

3

Life at the college is great actually, what we see in the movies is obviously not real and you wont get to live like that. There is 1 tech fest per year in which students from other IP universities can participate , it is fun but the prizes are not that great. There will be freshers program that you can look forward to.The books for 1st and 2nd year can easily be provided by the college but for the 3rd and 4th year you may get book for 1 or 2 subjects only.Class rooms are big and have good ventilation and you get a good playground too although all the equipment to play the games are to be carried by you.

Admission

For the admission of the student in any course they have to clear the IPU exam and based on that you get a rank and on the basis of your rank you get to choose a college and a course suitable for you.Once you clear the exam there is no more interview or group discussion. All there is left is to go to the main University that is in Dwarka and submit your documents and get yourself a seat in the college that you want.If you prepare for JEE mains or any other exam then you can easily clear the ecam the syllabus for the exam is from 10th to 12th.

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum that influences my decision to choose. This course was for the upcoming government exams as it provide a fundamental knowledge for them and the curriculum prepares it for real World applications do not have any practical knowledge, but it was more focus on academic more theoretical and areas of improvement. In the course curriculum is that I would suggest that it should be more ongoing perspective more realism rather than focusing on the past theory that we have, it should be relevant in contemporary times and the frequency and timing of exam along with my proper difficulty level is high.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of KMC works really well. Many top companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and Wipro visit the campus. It also arranges internships and placement drives, making sure students are ready for jobs. Overall, KMC provides a lively atmosphere and strong career support. From 6th Semester onwards, students can sit for campus placements. The highest package was upwards of ?30 LPA and the average package is around ?6-8 LPA. Our course saw a similar average package and the highest package was ?23 LPA. Around 30% of the previous batch was placed with the rest going for higher education and other job or entrance examinations. After getting my degree, I plan to go for higher education in statistics or economics. And beyond that I have made up my mind that I want to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and RBI Grade B Officer examination.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BBA course curriculum at Maharaja Surajmal College is quite well structured and covers a good balance of theoretical and practical aspects of business studies. The subjects are relevant to the current industry standards and help in building a strong foundation for management and corporate roles. The curriculum also gives exposure to areas like marketing, finance, and human resource management which prepares students for real-world applications as well as for higher studies like MBA. However, it could include more practical training, internships, and industry interactions to make learning more experiential. The exams are conducted on time and are of moderate difficulty, focusing more on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning. Overall, the curriculum is comprehensive and relevant, though slight improvements in practical exposure would make it even better.
