Remarks

I planned on applying to MSIT and VIPS but since MSIT is even farther away I decided not to. And VIPS was near but since the exposure that college has was not what I wanted so, I chose MAIMS instead. I did not avail any quota for admission, I got to this college in the first round only since my rank was quite high and I fulfilled all other marks and age criteria. The admission process was rather simple. We have to pay 40,000 which nonacademic part fee which is for the university and it is payable only in the first year. Then I paid 62,800 at the time of admission. All 10 and 12 class certificates are required. Character certificate and TC must be submitted. They will provide you with a pink slip which will be required if you want to get books from the college library. We need to pay 4000/- for issuing the book they will provide you with a slip and then you can show it gets the books and card. The 4000 is a security deposit and is refunded at your graduation. A late fee or book damage is recovered from the deposit.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In a sem, we have 4 unit tests and 4 assignments per subject which all are important for internal assessment marks. And it is not difficult if you have conceptual knowledge and have attended the classes. All the faculty members are either M.S. or P.h.d holders and very knowledgeable and supportive. All the lectures were fun and interactive except for some teachers. 1:60 per subject is the faculty: student ratio.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There is a summer internship project during 2 semesters of our 2 years. We are required to explain in detail our job roles, our daily tasks the reason for those tasks, what we learned from them. We basically have to put down everything we learned from the internship and how it has affected our perspective. The project contains a good percentage of our semester marks. So it is very important. About the companies and the roles and the stipend, we aren't informed yet. As I am a student of the first year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees have surely increased over the year and a proper fee structure is not available on the internet. It was quite hard to afford the college fees but then it is a reputed college so it is okay to spend this much as long as you can recover the amount by gaining apt knowledge IG. I couldn't avail any scholarships as neither do I fall in financial nor academic criteria for financial assistance.

Campus Life

3.5

I am a part of bizmind which is a cell of MAIMS, and it is an amazing society run by students. It gives exposure to how things work in the actual business world. There are almost all the sports and societies present to participate in. The classrooms have A.C. Each room has great lighting and ventilation. Books might not be available all the time and if are, might now be of the latest addition. The fests arent being conducted right now because of the covid situation.

Bcom that they offered was good enough to prepare one for the real world applications as various examples and field activities were also conducted by the college at that time . Teacher student ratio should be taken care of along with lethargic teaching methods like lecture method . Exams were held every 6 months and the difficulty level was easy.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell within the colleges but numerous are not dynamic and those who are dynamic do not offer great arrangements. As it were Srcc , LSR or St. Stephens offer pleasant placements. Most colleges offer arrangements between 3 - 4 lacs but over said colleges can give you situations with normal 8 lacs. But, I would prescribe you to not go for placements but higher things because it will increment your information and assist you to advance in your work and do it effectively whereas doing work fair after graduation will not allow you to regard merely continuously needed in the corporate world.
