A brief idea

The admissions are taken on the basis of state entrance examination and direct admissions. The residents of the state are given first preference. They are also provided with scholarships on the basis of intermediate results. There's no counselling. Just taken for the complete campus visit as of the college, hostel, mess, campus etc.

I chose Information Technology as my core branch because this field is the most in-demand field in the market especially by product-based companies. I don't know the exact number of the faculties or the students but the ratio is very large. The Faculties are well qualified, most of them are masters or PhD degree holders. They are very good at their knowledge and skills. The term exams take place no matter what situation the world is going through and the difficulty level is high.

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Several companies visit and provide various offers during the placement- like Infosys, TCS, TATA, Byjus, Amazon, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. The placement is very good and highest in the city and 2nd highest in the state. The average package is 10-15 lacs and the highest is 30 lacs+. About 87% of the students are placed each year.

The fees of the institution are 120000 yearly. This includes tuition fees, maintenance fees etc. As much as I know my college doesn't provide any financial assistance to the students. The only scholarship the students can avail of is the state scholarship provided by the government to the students.

The Techfest is Ignitia. It is usually conducted in the month of February. All subject related books are available in the library with the latest editions and the best writers. The sports event is conducted once a year where all the students and faculties can participate in a variety of sports. It's a three-day sports festival. The other activities are organised in the Techfest only. There are a number of clubs according to the interest of the students to join and enhance their skills.

Two students have to share a single room. The room is provided with 2 - beds, cupboards, tables, chairs. The rooms are available with two options- AC or NON-AC. A separate balcony between two rooms. No attached washrooms but common ones with geyser facility in the winters. The mess is clean and hygienic. The food quality is really good and healthy. Every day different breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner is served. And the menu changes monthly. There's no PG or rent room available near the college, it's in the outer of the city. Hostel accommodation fees are 90000 yearly. A lot of restrictions and safety measures.
