Talking about the college the AJAY KUMAR GARG ENGINEERING COLLEGE is situated in Ghaziabad on the Meerut highway. Why I choose this college? I choosen it because of the specialization course in btech that it was offering in the cse those are:- 1) Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning. 2) Data Science.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college provides a very vast range of course:- 1) CSE With specialization courses a) Artificial intelligence and Machine learning b) Data science 2) Information technology 3) electronic communications engineering 4) electrical engineering 5) mechanical engineering 6) civil engineering Now talking about the faculty the college has a great number of good faculty members among all AKTU Colleges.
Internships Opportunities
As of I do not have a great idea of the internship that the college provides. It is sure that no company approaches the college for the 2nd yr internship. The college has AKGEC SKILLS department where u can do internships with KUKA ROBOTICS and many more but all these are a paid courses.
Placement Experience
The College placements so for the placements a maximum number of tech companies that we say as mass recruiters come to the campus like Infosys, Wipro and so on.. even India aur force and navy had approached in the college placements. The college has a maximum number of placements in the IT industry for the core ones it is advised to learn some programing language. The college has an average package of 4 LPA. Students also get placed in the companies like KUKA ROBOTICS, and BOSCH. I haven't heard of any product-based company such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon approaching the college campus. To get placed in these companies u have to apply off-campus. The college provides a great placement percentage for the CSE and IT students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The first-year fees of the college for batch 2024 were 141206 rupees. And later on every year the fees decrease by a value of 5-10k. So taking up an average the college fees per year for the 4-year btech course will be 125000. And you can complete your btech degree by spending an amount of 5 lac. Now talking about the scholarship the most famous scholarship that u get is provided by the UP govt for which the criteria is that your yearly family income is less than 2 lac per annum. Then u will get an annual scholarship of rupees 60k.
Campus Life
The college has good 40 acres campus. The campus infrastructure is well maintained. You will love the campus. Talking about the sports ground college have only a football ground which is not very big to cater the student. The college has 2 basketball courts and badminton courts in each of the hostels. Talking about the clubs and societies colleges have a rich number of societies catering to all the genres. The most reputed societies are the "EUPHONY" and "TAAL" which have participated in many contests and had to bring glory to the college by winning them. The college has a civil club, a fashion club, many coding clubs, different types of a sports club, the society "HORIZON " is also among the most reputed ones. Which organizes the fests in the college
Hostel Facilities
Talking about the hostels the hostel are well maintained u get a decent room and the hostel is maintained. The hostel fee is very expensive that is 120k for a single-seater per annum. And +10k caution money (refundable) if you are taking a hostel for the first time.. The first-year boy's hostel has an accomodation of 300-350 students.
Interview Experience
The college takes most of its admission from the merit-based of the UPSEEE exam till 2020. The college takes admission on the jee mains percentile. And also on the basis of the board marks. Now from 2021 as the UPSEEE exams will not be held further than the college will have two modes that is the jee mode and the board mode of admission.
